@Playerinthgame I don't think this it. There is competition in the ride share market in some cities
I think more bloat can be attributed to:
New industry is pioneered -> governments catch up with over regulation and taxes that cause no positive effect -> new industry moat disappears
@halldj00@bryan_johnson Anyone that drinks coffee daily knows it fries your receptors
Does your first cup of coffee ever create the same effect at the 10,000th?
"It's a synthetic drug"
So what?
"We have no long term studies on it"
Wrong again: PMCID: PMC3053129
@MurdychMatthias@davidjohnson99@bryan_johnson Can you source them? Are they recent?
As far as I know (just search again) it's well understood now there are no known link between MDMA and neurotoxicity
@davidjohnson99@bryan_johnson Because it's not neurotoxic. The study that found that was redacted because they gave the subjects methamphetamine instead of MDMA.
Mormon cultures have been studied because they use MDMA long term and have found no detrimental effects from long term use
"Continuous usage fries the receptors"
Yep, agreed. The same goes for caffeine, alcohol, nicotine, and other scheduled drugs regularly RX'd like Adderall, SSRIs, etc ....
But do any of them offer dramatic positive effects like this? 10 - 30x!
Wild to me MDMA is a schedule 1.
Sure chronic use is probably detrimental, but why not occasionally? Maybe the ravers are on to something
@BraddrofliT Dudes making 50k/year understand that if you can be brainwashed to believe billionaires are the boogieman, then it's only a matter of time before you're brainwashed to believe they are the boogieman.
@iamharaldur You're conflating two subgroups as a whole group.
Plenty of people not on the left are calling out anyone supporting cancel culture or labelling "hate speech" as illegal.
