@DominyRichard@UniteSharon Actually the top 10% contribute 60% of income tax revenue according to HMRC . Top 1% contribute 29% of it. But apparently we don’t contribute our fair share! Nonsense.
@martyuk26@markv27@Helen_Whately PIP fraud rate has actually gone from 0.4% in FY2025 to 1.4% in FY2026. Still very small % of claims no doubt. But that means cost of fraud has increased from £104m to £364m in just 12 months. Need to sort it as they are taking money from the people that really need it.
@14thefrog Could be worse I got £100 fine and 3 points recently for doing 23mph in a 20mph zone. 🤦♂️Was on a main road, not in a built up area, that was 40mph previously. So easy on modern cars for the speed to creep up and harder to keep them under 20mph a lot of the time.
@m_dazzi@pavyg What was found just showed what was left in his system at the time of the test not how much he took or was “involuntarily polluted 😳”. And it was enough to fail two tests. Deliberate or accidental it’s still a violation and his ban was a lot less than others for the same.
@Archaicmind3000 Why single him out? So is Fonseca, Taylor Fritz, Jessica Pegula, Emma Navarro, Ernests Gulbis, Tsitsipas. Money gave them an advantage no doubt, doesn’t change the fact still need the talent, mindset, physical endurance & elite ability to perform & win at the highest level.
@ScoutingHive@14thefrog When Mick ran the Dog & Fox in Wimbledon Village 20 odd years ago it was by far and away the best pub in Wimbledon. Then years later when he took over The Alexandra it quickly became and still is the best pub in Wimbledon by some margin. One common denominator with both.
@piersmorgan Bronze medal at the Olympics not worthy of celebration. Whereas running the 3rd longest distance in a Champions League final is “an incredible stat” that is 🤔
@bendreyfuss@GavinNewsom Ironically, you missed off “it” after “is”. Which could be down to you being dyslexic yourself of course. With that in mind, you should have written “We can’t even read”.
@JaneFallon So sorry to hear that Jane, but great news that they caught it early and all will be well as a result. Obviously doesn’t stop it being a distressing and stressful time for you. Wishing you all the very best for a speedy recovery.
@steveblight2@Murray_Kinsella No, because no maul had formed at that point. He caught the ball in the lineout then on landing fumbled the pass which would have set up the maul. Zambonin is onside when the ball is caught and times it perfectly to intercept the fumbled pass.
@SheaSerrano Great essay, really enjoyed. I love that movie despite, and possibly because, of its flaws and absurdity. But sorry to be pedantic, but Aerosmith didn’t write an original song for the movie. Diane Warren wrote I Don’t Want to Miss a Thing.
@paddypower Why do I keep getting a message saying “we weren’t able to place your bets”. Tried different devices, uninstalled app, tried the website instead, cleared history etc. Still same message whatever I use.
@Someguy1136680@wendyp4545 You do understand that the US is still very much a part of NATO and was one of the original 12 founding member states right? You seem to think that NATO is an entirely separate entity that doesn’t include the US.
And then there’s the discussion about the untapped potential of creating a region in North Wales. A entire swathe of the country not represented in top club rugby at all, 700k people without a regional club they can connect with, represents them, and that they can get behind.
Can’t have no regional rugby in an area which has produced so many great players from Bridgend Maesteg Aberavon Neath and Swansea. Haven’t we learnt our lesson from alienating Pontypridd. We need to embrace everyone.
