@starwart1@PoliticsScot@KongoZande But the data on them would still be in computers and captains would have been briefed on them, whereas Kirk goes into Arena seemingly knowing nothing about them. With a treat level that high they would be know something.
@Locopells@marcedavis This is also what I thought and I think it makes sense because time would not mean anything to a Q. Also Q always kept going back and messing with humans so it makes sense that Trelane would do the same and keep being told off for it over and over again.
@PoliticsScot@starwart1@KongoZande Don’t you both think that something either memory or timeline related will happen because currently Arena doesn’t make sense with all of the Gorn episodes either.
@merlotinmyblood @pheebs_18 I cannot stand this guy and I have no idea why. Whenever I see he is in a show my heart sinks and I wish I knew the reason why because he seems like an ok actor.
@thomasdavyd99@SafeSpaceDrWho By stating that you are trying to show me the doctor’s perspective inherently means that you believe your view is the only correct interpretation and I need to be told how to perceive the show, script and performance. I don’t know how you can’t see the irony of this convo.
@thomasdavyd99@SafeSpaceDrWho How about we both just go our own way. You obviously can’t understand what it means to me and I won’t have my view dismissed. One day, they will write something that hurts you and you will get it. Until then, be well.
@thomasdavyd99@SafeSpaceDrWho I’m going to add that the reason that representation matters is because we see real life things played on screen & often it reaches children. You stand strong in the face of racism, you don’t cry and beg in their face because they end up thinking they are better than you - FACT
@thomasdavyd99@SafeSpaceDrWho Firstly, he was black before, the fugitive doctor is a black woman. Secondly, setting aside his selective memory of her, he realises and keeps going. The doctor does understand these things he just thinks we are stupid for caring.
@ashlesmanon @carmillatism@intergalaticwag I, my family, friends & others do wear scarves but not constantly like you see with these characters. TV shows not getting hairdressers that can handle black hair is an issue in the industry & has nothing to do with comfort. Hope it is actors choice or a show device & not that.
