These Indian tech companies have done more damage to India than the Americans ever will.
Someone should sit with these Murthy like people and teach them how Huawei showed aukat to Nvidia and Apple.
Indian billionaires are excellent at rent seeking, gate keeping, regulatory capture, labor arbitrage, mercantile trading and motivational speeches. Innovation etc. are out of syllabus.
The US has historically propped up Pakistan, aided insurgencies in India's North East & North West, greatly assisted the rise of PRC, and we gave all of that hawkishness up just because in the 2000s for some IT money.
AI bringing US-India ties back to 1970 levels is expected.
This is this primary reason why India MUST develop its own LLM. We are at the mercy of US deep tech. This needs to be Mission Zero for Atmanirbhar Bharat. Anything else is abject surrender. Yes, it’s expensive but we have the talent for it. What we lack is vision. Put someone with a little daring in charge. Heck, if I had a computer science background, I would be attempting it myself.
GoI didn’t protest on this issue? What alternative reality are you guys living in? India raised it at the highest level, and protested publicly over this multiple times. The PM himself raised it with President Putin, as per the Foreign Secretary himself.
It led to assurances.
Chinese have been using the shadow fleet to transport oil for years, but not once their ships have come under attack.
So spare us this sanctioned fleet rhetoric. 🙃🙃🙃
India desperately needs small batch privatised cities.
Look at Adani Shantigram in Ahmedabad. It is a massive 600 acre privately planned township.
The toxic 600 acre capitalist setup:
• Obnoxiously wide, pothole free roads and completely clean streets.
• Huge dedicated footpaths where you can actually run without fearing for your life.
• Zero traffic trauma because top schools, major hospitals, commercial business spaces and premium clubs are all seamlessly built nearby.
• Crystal clean water pools, lush landscaped gardens and high end 24/7 security.
Right now, you pay 30% income tax just to step out of your house and almost get run over by a car. There is zero parking, absolutely no walking space, overflowing garbage dumps on every corner and places stained with pan masala and gutka.
Imagine a small, congested part of Mumbai or Delhi that hasn't changed in 25 years. How would a private entity actually handle it with tech?
Go ahead and get triggered by corporate monopolies.
@cvkrishnan Genuinely think the way to create middle tier/lower-tier housing in prime areas is MHADA-CIDCO maxxing in every city. But that will mean nuking slums/tenements.
Salutations to the visionary and indomitable founder of Hindavi Swarajya, the greatest King Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, on this auspicious occasion of ShivRajyabhishek Din!

तुम्ही होता म्हणूनच आम्ही आहोत.
@AMR1T1 As much as i abhor adani's "israel-nirbhar" defense products and consumer foray. Adani group does tend to deliver on infra creation and commodities.
@AMR1T1 Tatas CapEx is not what is expected from a group of their size IMO. Especially since the state has been generous to them, releiance,JSW et al.
They need to put in so much into mew sectkr CapEx that entire townships and ecosystem come up. Maybe Dholera Semicon cluster can be that.
Thankful to Rajeev for cutting the BS and saying it as it is.
When some of us pointed this out over the years, we were balked at as being anti biz commies or just jealous. And of not being live players. Only those outside who find the gate keeping know how it feels inside.
A PM who wants to leave a lasting legacy on economic growth and revival must work to rekindle the culture of entrepreneurship by having a policy and action basis for new entrants over entrenched players. Yet to see it in the scale and form that’s necessary to move the needle.
