A beautiful day for an inspiring walk in support of @AlzCanada in York Region. Congratulations and thank you to volunteers like Mom, who make these events possible. Let’s recommit to the care of families and the cure of Alzheimer's disease and other dementias. #IGWalkforAlz
What a night! Great exchange of ideas with the Wellington-Halton Hills PLA. Liberals are hungry for change and ready to do the hard work of rebuilding. And of course, it never hurts to enjoy a tasty treat along the way.
Thanks @TanveerSandhu and @DavidMorris_TO for the invite.
Grateful to have attended the Danforth Islamic Centre’s Eid Prayer at Dentonia Park, a wonderful expression of community. Also energizing to see Ahsanul Hafiz, our candidate in Scarborough Southwest. Wishing everyone a joyful Eid Mubarak!
In addition to having outstanding fashion sense, @JimWatsonOttawa knows a thing or two about city building. Thankful for Jim’s perspectives on what Liberals need to do to grow our party, and what Queen’s Park needs to do to make our communities more vibrant and economically competitive. Thank you, Jim.
Policy chats and fly fishing with Campaign Co-Chair @TeefyBrian. Grateful for the municipal governance wisdom and the casting tips. Teach a man to fish… and he’ll start asking about Ontario’s aquatic species policies.
Our farmers anchor economies and keep food on tables across the province. Nowhere is that clearer than in Niagara, where family farms have been the backbone of this region for generations. Doing more to support them is smart economic policy. Ontario’s strength has always come from all of its parts working together. Let’s build the kind of leadership that makes that possible again.
Our eastern swing was well timed. Elise and I were able to attend one of our favourite events of the year: the @CdnTulipfest! If you’ve never been, check it out. There’s lots to discover in our great province! We’re trying our best to see it all.
Talking big ideas at @bigrigbrew with Kaite Burkholder Harris, a tireless advocate for better housing in eastern Ontario. Inspiring conversation on housing as a human right, and the need to build and repair more affordable housing. So grateful for the work of Kaite and the @OttawaAlliance.
An absolute pleasure to catch-up with one of my earliest friends in politics, @rezamoridi. We talked post-secondary education and what it’ll actually take to build a real innovation economy in Ontario. Thanks, Reza!
Also, made sure to stop at 3 Coins. I’ve missed this place!
Great conversation in Peterborough with Andy Mitchell and Neil Morton, two people who genuinely love their city, and it shows. We talked about what municipalities need from the province to get things done. Their energy and optimism was contagious. Thanks for your time. (And thanks for the tasty treats, @silverbeancafe)!
Very grateful for the time and insights of Leah Taylor Roy, a champion for Aurora, Oak Ridges, and Richmond Hill, and a true advocate for evidence-based public policy. Appreciated Leah’s perspectives on housing, healthcare, seniors care, and the resonance of Liberal values in York Region. Thanks, Leah!
Thankful to Valerie Bradford for convening such a committed and insightful group of community leaders in Kitchener. It was great to chat about ways we can build up our healthcare, housing, and public education systems, while making life more affordable. We need a provincial government focused on the big stuff and capable of delivering results!
Chris Ballard doesn’t just talk about change, he’s helped make it happen. From Ontario’s Basic Income Pilot to consumer protection, his record speaks for itself. Great to sit down with you, Chris, and thank you for your continued passion and wisdom.
To grow our party, beat Doug Ford, and reinvigorate Queen’s Park, we’ll need vision and a lot of hard work. @AlvinTedjo has always brought both. He pairs big-picture thinking with real execution, and I’m grateful for the advice he shared with me. Mississauga has an outstanding champion in Alvin!
