They need to stop losing the ones they already have.

Missed calls. Slow replies. Quotes that never got a follow-up.

Fix the leaks before you buy more water.

Who in your business is responsible for the number of new customers this month?

If the answer is "me, along with everything else," that is the problem.

You cannot fix what nobody owns.

Three things I would check before spending another dollar on marketing:

1. Does the phone get answered every time?
2. Do happy customers get asked for a review?
3. Can someone find you by asking their phone?

Any no on that list and marketing is just water into a leaky bucket.

Who sent you your last three customers?

Not "word of mouth." The actual person, search, or post.

Most owners cannot answer that on the spot. And if you do not know where customers come from, you cannot get more of them.

Just tried out @emergentlabs for vibe coding websites and apps. So far so good. Right now my stack for creating sites and apps is 1) @Lovable 2) @Base44 3)@claudeai

Not sure if there is room for four. I like its design. The first site I had it reimagine looked fantastic. Definitely no AI slop. Will have to keep playing with it more. Got the $1 intro rate for 100 credits. I’ll max that out soon in hours!!

I looked up if any NBA MVPs led the league in turrnovers. In 2016-2017 James harden led the league with 464 TOs and finished second in MVP race.

Russell Westbrook won MVP that year. With 438 TOS. Second only to Harden.

Not to say TOs don’t matter. But seems like when your the type of player that handles the ball A LOT like CC, Harden or Westbrook, TOs are just a part of it.
