Had a wonderful time organising the departmental research day with @dzacariotti. Started the day with our most awesome keynote @CBradburyRance about ambivalent masculinity
Our next speaker is @dzacariotti, who is presenting research undertaking for his PhD on ‘Subverting Brazilian Fascism through Queer Cinema’. Some fascinating case studies and discussion of how the 'queer' disrupts Brazilian values such as family and homeland.
Daniel has been invited to give over 20 presentations and published 17 articles on performance and queer subjects in Latin America. His work seeks to promote human rights for the LGBTQIA+ community in Brazil. #scmconference
