@kmatthews It's so complicated. I was stunned when working with people w disabilities who defended the circus's use of them as "freaks" and sideshows. Their reasoning was very insightful. We all need to listen and learn.

My immediate reaction to this is, "of course!" However, the comments are important reminders that there are many motivations, just as there are in any environment. Some folks need connection. Some crave isolation. Virtual worlds offer a "choose your own adventure" opportunity!
