You can clearly see he gives Laurie the benefit of the doubt. He claims that Laurie should be held accountable IF the accusations are true - which I agree with for any minster. But his approach is much different in this scenario.

The difference is Mike will chastise, ridicule, mock and slander the ministers he theologically disagrees with…but when it’s a minister in his own circle (Laurie) he defends the minister.

Greg Laurie has multiple lawsuits (ongoing as of 2026) allege negligence/cover-ups related to child sexual abuse in Romania orphanages the church supported, plus internal hush-money payments and misconduct by other pastors. Mike Wingers 2025 video “My Greg Laurie story” Winger shares a personal anecdote defending Laurie against what he calls false accusations or “slander”
My point isn’t about whether or not the allegations are true, my point is how he responds to this vs ministers outside his circle of influence.
