We are seeking a PhD student to study the ecology of #eDNA#eRNA to understand how the biology of a species and its interaction with the environment affect the probability of detection Check this out & apply ! @eDNA_papers@eDNAScience@eDNAresources@PISCeS_eDNA
This is a short list of #eDNA projects on DoD lands that includes several of the WSU projects funded by DoD. @SERDP_ESTCP recently funded a big round of eDNA research - stay tuned for exciting work from @KatyKlymus @jenniferltank @edna4wildlife @Mark_A_Davis79 and others!
Check out this resource documenting eDNA research on @DeptofDefense lands, including three SERDP projects! Efforts using eDNA range from monitoring aquatic species richness to predicting climate change impacts on amphibian populations: https://t.co/RbXPpw0sxP
@eDNAresources
Just a few days left to 1) submit your abstract, 2) register with early bird fee and 3)get complimentary registration to the NEW training workshop: eDNA Sampling on Saturday, May 30! Don't miss the deadline on Feb 14th! @PISCeS_eDNA#eDNA#PISCeS2020
Registrations are now open for the #eDNA#Metabarcoding course in Berlin (@FU_Berlin) with @stefanako71 @luke_earl@boopsboops
Save the dates: 29th June- 3rd July 2020

This is a tremendous loss for the #eDNA research community, and for the world in general. Cameron was an outstanding researcher and all around good human.
I was sorry to hear of a loss in our #eDNA research community. Cameron Turner (who I believe is @enviroDNA) passed away of natural causes Dec 17, 2019. He is survived by his three children, but 40 is just too young! Consider https://t.co/4mQ779R0lH
Please see this available 3-year postdoc position on environmental DNA and bioinformatics in my research group @AarhusUni. Opportunities in #eDNA and #metabarcoding. I appreciate if you can share it in your network.

Last #eDNA bibligraphy update of 2019. Note that the list 1) tracks almost exclusively aqueous macrobial eDNA but 2) has no formal criterion for paper inclusion, 3) is compiled informally through semi-annual literature searches
Are you worried about incorrect taxonomic annotations of GenBank sequences for #eDNA#metabarcoding? Our new paper in @PNASNews shows that GenBank is reliable for 21st century biodiversity research https://t.co/EkJzztEPEV with @amphipods @SeaCitizens@stri_panama@AcademiaSinica
Goldberg lab at WSU invites applications for immediate graduate position developing #eDNA sampling methods for CA amphibians (M.S. or Ph.D.). Start date Nov 1. https://t.co/xlF3FbENvH.
@taylormwilcox @stefanako71 Another note: We've used Mendeley as a reference manager and to share our reference database. Mendeley recently changed their member settings, allowing someone to delete 90% of our database. We're looking into alternatives to Mendeley now.
@taylormwilcox @stefanako71 Our approach is similar: we get alerts from RG, Google Scholar, and most of the major publishers, skim Twitter, and do monthly keyword searches for "environmental DNA" and "eDNA."
We’re excited to be part of this! @SERDP_ESTCP has been a big supporter of #eDNA research, and for developing technologies and tools to better manage natural resources in general in support of DoD training. @SERDP_ESTCP_RC
Exciting up and coming research in #eDNA check out these funded grants from @SERDP_ESTCP investment in improving eDNA science! Congrats to recipients
