I’ve been building Framebop Studio 🎬
It turns ideas into short animated videos with AI on your computer.
No account, no subscription, no cloud.
Still an early alpha. I’d love your feedback 🙏

@buildinpublic Working on Framebop 🎬
A local-first, open-source AI video studio.
The idea is simple: turn an idea into a finished video, from script and voice to visuals and rendering, all in one place.
Still building, but it's getting better every day.

Estoy creando Framebop Studio.

@not_sacke Good question! I'm building it on an M4 Pro with 24GB RAM, so I haven't tried it on a 16GB Mac yet.
I think the basic features should work fine, but bigger AI models might struggle a bit.
Still early days, lots to test 🙂
I turned nuclear fission into an interactive 3D world. ⚛️
From a splitting atom to an isometric reactor, a control room, and an entire city lighting up.

A React Effect can have an annoying trade-off:
You need the latest state inside an event listener, but adding that state as a dependency keeps removing and adding the listener.
useEffectEvent gives the listener fresh state without restarting the Effect.
@hanghuang_ This looks really useful! Do sandboxes keep dependencies and build caches between sessions, or does everything start fresh each time?
Also, are you using containers or microVMs for isolation? Curious how you handle security when AI agents can run almost any command.
React 19.3 has a small feature I really like.
You can now attach a ref to a Fragment.
This lets you focus or measure a group of elements without adding an extra div to the DOM.
Here's a simple example:
Ever had old search results replace new ones in React?
This can happen when API requests finish in a different order.
The first request may finish last and overwrite the latest results.
A simple cleanup function can prevent this.
@deweytn Wait… I think your building is in my city! 😂
I built NUCLUME, where a nuclear reactor powers an entire 3D city.
So apparently, I've been keeping your lights on this whole time.
What a coincidence! Love this!
