Just a few of the roles Teacher-Librarians fulfill in schools. We are also champions for equity, literacy leaders, inquiry collaborators, & maker-space facilitators. So many heavy hearts today as the @HaltonDSB removes this valuable role starting next yr. #teacherlibrariansmatter
Completely 💔 to hear about @HaltonDSB removing TLs from libraries due to a lack of funding. The Library Learning Commons and TL are the heartbeat of the school. A sad day for school communities across our entire board!
Watching a young artists’ imagination soar is my happy place! What a beautiful expression of joy! Wish I could do it every day all day. The world needs more of this right now! @DesmondHDSB#Artanddesignclub#watercolourmagic#weimagineif
In honour of the launch of Sir Ken Robinson’s last book, finished by his daughter Kate, we are responding to his call to celebrate our creativity and imagination as a school community. Our human sprit thrives when we imagine possibilities for our world. @DesmondHDSB#weimagineif
To all the beautiful humans who make my heart sing, make me laugh, lift me up, and hold space for me when things seem impossible; You are brilliant light-makers, and I am so grateful that you are part of this precious life I am living. ❤️
@MarchioneHDSB What a wonderful chance for your students to feel truly seen as the brilliant learners that they are. Your belief in your students as not empty vessels but rather fully formed humans with different learning styles and gifts is beautiful. Teaching is a dialogue not a one way convo
This week, I was asked to share what I was grateful for this summer. I made something up, it didn't feel safe to share the word on my mind: *SURVIVAL.* While many shared their experiences of traveling, cottage, etc, I felt like dissolving. Please don't do this to Ss next week.
Perhaps now, more than ever- #storiesmatter
Please join one of my mentors for an inspiring talk about the power of story. This is one you won't want to miss- https://t.co/S7n0Jt3IsU
