Transportation is the biggest cause of GHG emissions in BC. @musqueam@FortisBC#TilburyLNG & #MarineJetty project could make a big difference here, reducing emissions by 1.2MT/Yr. Let’s get it done!
@BruceRYoung I’m floored and deeply saddened by this news. John hired me at StrategyCorp. He was a friend and mentor. My heart goes out to his family, friends and colleagues. Thanks for posting this tribute, Bruce.
To those of Ukrainian descent who now call BC home, we stand with you & share your concerns for the tragedy unfolding. We stand with the people of Ukraine & condemn, in no uncertain terms, this unprovoked Russian assault.
The world must collectively act to end to this injustice.
During a health symposium @StanfordMed I learned from a cardiologist colleague that even if we get our 180min of zone 2 cardio per week, the benefits are largely (or entirely) erased by sitting >5 hours per day. Solution: standing (1:1 ratio w/sitting) & 3-4, 10min walks per day.
They say it is an old persons disease. I was 48.
They say it is a rare disease. 3 of my high school classmates have lost a parent to it. Now my family.
They say that now is not the right time. The US and UK just took bold, unprecedented action.
Let's go, Canada! #EndALS
By viewing sunlight today and tomorrow (indeed, every day) for 10min (blinking fine, don’t stare at the sun), within a few hours of waking (even through cloud cover), your Monday and next week week will go much better. Says 50+ years of data. #circadian#biology@SamerHattar
When we fail to do something, our attention levels increase. That increase can be leveraged to heighten learning capacity on subsequent attempts. Scientific findings suggest that setting the level of challenge to one where you make errors ~15% of the time is ideal for learning.
I’m grateful for all the new members in the BC Liberal Party. As many weren't around when I launched my campaign, I wanted to reshare the commitments I made when deciding to run for leader. If we don't restore trust, we won't win a general election. #bcpoli#bclib22
My family is supporting us as we deal with ALS and now I have a chance to support them.
My sister-in-law has poured her heart and soul into this reimagined North Vancouver ramen bar. She is the new chef and designed the new menu.
Her name is Addy. Check it out.
Did you know? @TELUSHealth Virtual Care can send medical notes to your family doctor electronically (with your consent) to help ensure continuity of care. https://t.co/3Bfw1FqCqn

In the past 8 mos, ALS has brought this into my life:
-2 walkers
-3 wheelchairs
-1 wheelchair van
-2 bed guardrails
-1 electric rising chair
-1 neck collar
-1 wrist utensil holder
-1 bi-pap breathing machine
-1 IPad with eye-gaze communication software
We must #EndALS.
If you live in BC and own a vehicle, you will be getting a COVID rebate cheque from ICBC.
If everyone donated just 5% of their cheque to ALS research it would = $30M. This would be an UNPRECEDENTED amount of funding for Canada.
The donation link is below. It’s time to #EndALS.
