@seelaria@Azy1Piece That’s not quite accurate. You’re confusing them with the Arrancars/Priveron Espada that are currently serving under Mayuri
Those Fullbringers died and were buried in the World of the Living. Because they were still human, they went to the Soul Society like any other human would
@theTrafalgarD@4life_ash33897@shonenkon Also, and I can’t believe I have to repeat the same point again, but Yhwach states MULTIPLE TIMES, before the battle starts and again after Ichigo transforms into his HoS form, that he is NOT using The Almighty. I don’t understand why this point keeps going over your head.
@theTrafalgarD@4life_ash33897@shonenkon Those “eyes” represent the torrent of the Soul King’s power. Everything involving Adnyeus, from Pernida’s The Compulsory, Yhwach and Jugram’s version of BLACK, Mimihagi’s stagnation ability, and even those weird eyeball creatures all feature “eyes” as a shared motif.
@theTrafalgarD@4life_ash33897@shonenkon Nope because those eyes aren’t his Almighty eyes.
Again, even though it has “eyes”, that is not The Almighty. The power he is using in these scenes is “BLACK”, the Soul King’s overflowing ink-like reiatsu which Yhwach now wields.
@theTrafalgarD@4life_ash33897@shonenkon I think your confusion stems from the fact that you don’t understand the difference between these two powers and their appearances.
The Almighty: Takes shape in the form of multiple pupils within the user’s eyes.
BLACK: The overflow of an ink-like power from the Soul King.
@theTrafalgarD@4life_ash33897@shonenkon At that point in the battle, Jugram is the one who holds The Almighty, not Yhwach.
Also, you’ll notice from these manga pages that up until he fights Ichigo’s Horn of Salvation form, he only has one pupil AND mentions that he is actively choosing not to use The Almighty.
@LarpLuliet@Kurumisimp14@dumottier_f@Vanitas_Caelum@ImKisukeThough Both Fushi no Kōjō and Katen Kyōkotsu Karamatsu Shinju are Bankai that affect the target and the user simultaneously, meaning it cannot be reflected back at the moment of activation, nor can you escape from it until their Bankai’s ability resolves.
@Rhinestonefilms@VeggieBLT I spent some time browsing through various databases and archives and compiled a list of quotes shared by Lucas that go over his direct influences for the prequels, going from the early 1900’s (D.W. Griffith) to the 70’s (The Godfather). Hopefully this satisfies your theory.
@Rhinestonefilms@VeggieBLT It’s neither a theory or a secret. Doug Chiang talked about this years ago in SWCC 2019. It was their intent to derive designs from the 40s to 60s of our world when crafting the prequels’ design language
I recommend watching this panel starting at 15:55

@smith2kold@dynamic_voltage@ThatJunkman@bookshelfbattle Obi does say Anakin but only in 1983 when ROTJ first came out. It would have been the first time any fans actually heard Luke’s father/Vader’s actual name being stated
@Shurishere@dynamic_voltage@ThatJunkman@bookshelfbattle No he doesn’t. In both the theatrical release and Special Editions of A New Hope, the name “Anakin” was never stated. Old Ben always referred to Anakin as “your father” to Luke until Return of the Jedi.
@ericbrownzzz@mightydudbolt False equivalence. You’re comparing a mundane, bureaucratic institution where practically anyone can understand and even participate in to an insular group of monks with powers that no ordinary person can obtain or reasonably comprehend
They already existed in the realm of myth
@SamuelS15533098@Arugula1190981 @senkitaisen @StarkyTheSald The difference here is that you can easily skip those filler arcs/episodes for Bleach (and presumably Naruto which I haven’t watched) but you can’t do that with One Piece.
Also, Bleach’s canon/filler mixing was only an issue for the start of the Arrancar arc and nowhere else
@JvckMvson@MrJulianR1@ChadPrim3 Have you always been retarded or did you experience a recent head trauma? Duels and battles aren’t classified based on how long or short they are, also, you did in fact try dispute this. Do better
@JvckMvson@MrJulianR1@ChadPrim3 Yup, that’s why I’m calling you an idiot that spent multiple responses saying that “Kanan never beat Maul”, only for you to contradict yourself by saying that “Kanan did in fact beat Maul”. Do better dumbass
@JvckMvson@MrJulianR1@ChadPrim3 That’s ironic, seeing as how this whole argument started because you lack the comprehension to understand context.
Kanan let go of his fear and embraced the light side against the GI, that was the most painfully obvious force moment in the entire show dude. Do better dumbass
@JvckMvson@MrJulianR1@ChadPrim3 Terrible choreography or not, that still doesn’t disprove my point that Marrok is leagues above those fraud Inquisitors.
Also, if you’re so hell bent on this, why are you even treating it as a loss to Maul? He nearly force crushed them in a weakened state, that’s a draw at worst
