Many years ago a few friends and I decided we were going to start saying ‘out’ instead of ‘back’ east - mainly because of the Toronto-centre-of-the-universe thing. Reflecting on it now, saying ‘out west’ and ‘back east’ is actually quite a colonial perspective.
My Foundations of Math 11 students using their understanding of mean, median, mode, range, & standard deviation to analyze what we found in packages of fruit snacks today. One thing we can’t explain though... why so many purple? @sd35wgss
@DorisPaterson @teacheramiller @sd35wgss@Trevornoah Thank you so much Doris! It’s easy to be head of a dept like ours full of such dedicated & collaborative educators!
@teacheramiller @sd35wgss Wow, thanks Andy! I’ve been getting increasingly frustrated with my 2014 SP3, and now is when I really need it to work! Trying to keep making videos but it’s a very slow process. I wonder if @Trevornoah would ship one to Canada for me? https://t.co/2VaMJgBclz
@camseib Thanks so much Cameron! We are doing well - hope you are too. Looking forward to virtually going back to school, although not sure quite yet just what it’ll look like 🙂

@blaisej@ddmeyer Wow, thanks Blaise - that means a lot coming from you! I have always really appreciated what I’ve learned from you in the work we’ve done together.
@Kozman71@LangleySchools@sd35wgss Thanks Koz! I’m hoping the course of this changes as everyone does their part and this model ends up being a big overestimate!
@ls_gibson ‘Unforgiving’ is certainly an appropriate word for that trail! So many students have been turned onto hiking and the outdoors directly & indirectly because of Charlie and the Harrison Hike, despite the struggle they endure getting up that hill!
