Every morning I write about someone Iran just executed, within minutes, a message arrives a mother, a sister, a friend, begging me to write about their loved one who is on the death row. Before it's too late.

This is why I want to write before the execution of this young woman, not after. Arghavan Fallahi. 24 years old. Evin Prison. Sentenced to death.

Judge Salavati one of Iran's most notorious hanging judges, sentenced her under "Baghi," armed rebellion.

During months in solitary confinement, she was subjected to severe psychological torture and pressure to make forced confessions. But she refused. So they sentenced her to death anyway.

Fellow female prisoners who were with Arghavan inside Evin say her situation is urgent. The torture has left her with severe psychological trauma and physical illness. She is not just facing the death sentence, she is suffering right now, inside that cell. But is still alive and is still time to save her life.

Please join me and help us Iranians to say her name now and demand international community and the leader leaders of the world to put pressure on these that republic to stop them from executing her and other political prisoners.

I don’t know how to stop these executions anymore.

I woke up again to the news that another young protester had been hanged.

Yes, every morning I wake up wondering whose name I’ll have to write next, and whether anyone will care enough to read it.

Today, right after the call to prayer, the regime hanged Mehdi Khaneki. 26 years old. A law graduate. Arrested during the January uprising in Karaj.

The regime released a video of men raiding his “hideout,” his head shaved, staged for the cameras. A production shot after his arrest to build the case against him. This is what passes for evidence in the Islamic Republic.

His family was put under pressure and warned to stay silent and cut off all contact with the media.

This is their answer to international pressure. Not stopping the killings. Hiding them.

Mehdi Khaneki’s name has been added to the long list of people murdered by the Islamic Republic inside its prisons.

How can I ask the international community, especially those leaders who claim to stand for human rights and democracy, to put pressure on the Islamic Republic and demand that it #StopExecutionsInIran?

Shocking revelation from an interview with the regime’s foreign minister conducted by a state TV documentary director: he admits that Mashhad and several other cities effectively fell during the January 8 uprising in Iran, and that the regime never anticipated the scale of the protests.

This aligns with earlier reports from a source inside the Khorasan Razavi governor’s office, who said that at an emergency Security Council meeting at 11 a.m. on January 9, officials announced they had received orders from higher authorities to crush the protests at any cost, regardless of the death toll.

According to the source: “They ordered us to kill and terrorize people to such an extent that by January 10, no one would dare return to the streets.”

In 2019, I called out Russia’s intentional bombardment of hospitals in Syria and noted the truth that there was no solution for the conflict in Syria as long as brutal Assad remained in power. It was for this reason that the Assad regime declared me “enemy of the state,” along with spearheading the Caesar sanctions with my colleagues and leading the charge against normalization of Assad.

Today, with Assad out, Iran has withdrawn from Syria, ISIS is decimated, Russia’s presence is a shell of what it was, and 3.5 million Syrians have returned to their homes one the largest return movements of the 21st century. On top of it all new energy projects and pipelines create an alternative to the Strait of Hourmouz weakening Iran’s ability to wreck havoc on the world economy.

Thank you, @realDonaldTrump, for shining a light on the new wave of executions in Iran.

During the war, you publicly urged the Islamic Republic to stop executing protesters, and then you said they promised you they would. It was a lie.

I remember saying on live CBC that don’t trust them because they would turn the mass arrests into mass executions. That is exactly what they are doing now. The executions have accelerated.

Yesterday alone, two protesters were hanged. Ten more are just hours away from the same fate. Since January, more than 30 young Iranian protesters have been executed for demanding freedom.
The regime put pressure on all their family members, so we don’t even know the real numbers of executions.

They are using the world’s distraction as cover to eliminate the young men and women who dared to stand up. This cannot be ignored.

I am in touch with some of their family members. They are begging the rest of the world to act before it is too late.

The only time the Islamic Republic backed down from executing a woman was after you published her photo.

Negotiating with executioners without demanding an immediate end to the executions only gives them more time to hang innocent people.

While the world watches the war, the Islamic Republic of Iran hanged a 19-year-old boy today.

His name is Erfan Esfandiari and he was his parents' only child.

He did not kill anyone. He did not carry a weapon. His crime, according to the Islamic Republic, was opening a door. Sheltering protesters who were running from security forces. That was enough to send him to the gallows.

Erfan was one of 12 young men in the Alikhani Square case in Isfahan, arrested during the January 2026 uprising. Yesterday, all 12 were moved to quarantine. Today, the Islamic Republic hanged him.

This is a government that is so terrified of a generation that refuses to be silent, that it executes teenagers for the act of compassion.

Say his name. Because the regime is already trying to erase him. Because his mother and father are left with nothing, not even the right to grieve loudly.

In the middle of a war, the Islamic Republic still finds time to flog this young women for music.

Anita Papist, a young Iranian singer, has been sentenced to 74 lashes.

Her crime? Singing and uploading her video on Instagram.

The regime confiscated her passport. Blocked her phone. Now they want to silence her voice.

This is called gender apartheid. A total apartheid against women.

What do my peerage appointments say about today's Conservative Party?

Britain is entering a more dangerous age. China is rapidly expanding its military power and helping to sustain Russia’s war machine, while NATO prepares for dangers it once hoped had passed.

We need to rearm. Yet our economy is stagnant, welfare spending continues to balloon and debt is nearing the size of the entire economy.

At home, foreign criminals who should have been removed, remain in Britain. Meanwhile dangerous people known to mental-health services have been left untreated or undetained until innocent people paid with their lives.

These are the problems I think about every day. They will not be solved by the usual procession of apparatchiks. They require people who understand how to defend a country, create wealth, build institutions and repair public systems.

At the next election, the Conservative Party will put forward a new generation of candidates prepared to confront these problems. Anyone who wants an early indication of the party I am building should look at the people I am appointing to the House of Lords.
