Most people get bored.
Most people get distracted.
Most people get impatient.
Most people give up.
The greats stay focused.
The greats stay committed.
Commitment unlocks potential.
Utah WR target 4-star Blake Wong following his OV:
“Utah is unique in that it has a strong LDS presence, but it also has diversity too. It’s a place that I can grow spiritually, but also learn from the non-LDS teammates and their experiences and vice versa.”
Athletes‼️‼️
Find YOUR home.
It’s okay if your home isn’t where others wanted you to go or where they expected you to be. What matters is finding a place where you are valued, supported, and given the opportunity to grow. Choose the place that feels right for you, your goals, and your future. The right fit is always worth it.
This is when legends are made.
In empty gyms.
On lonely tracks.
During optional workouts.
If you need an audience to work hard, you'll never be great.
What are you doing when nobody's watching?
That's your true level.
Resilience doesn’t come from success, it comes from the struggle. It comes from failing, getting knocked down, experiencing doubt and then choosing to get up, to battle, to press on.
Don’t avoid the struggle.
Lean into it, learn from it, use it, get stronger because of it.

Accountability isn’t about punishment, it’s about growth.
It’s about refusing to let people settle. It’s about believing people are capable of a higher standard, and fighting for them to pursue that standard.
Call people up, not out.
Most athletes obsess over outcomes. Points. Offers. Minutes. Rankings. Starting spots. Winning. But the best (and happiest!) players seem to be obsessed with trajectory. Are you improving? Are you building habits? Are you stacking disciplined days? ARE YOU MOVING IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION? The pain of extra shots, conditioning, film study, hard coaching, and discipline weighs ounces. The pain of looking back wishing you would’ve gone all in weighs tons. Most players overestimate what happens in one workout… and underestimate what happens in 3 years of consistency. Don’t obsess over the scoreboard every day. Obsess over the direction!
The difference between interested & invested players shows in the summer. Interested players need perfect circumstances(too hot/cold, no music, too busy). Invested players just need a place to work & get better (gym, track, weight room) & they do. How do you use your off-season?!
Progress is a few wins mixed in with a lot of failures.
Try, fail, learn. Try, fail, learn. Try, win, learn. Repeat.
This is the path.
Just keep showing up between the wins.

Champions don't just trust the process.
They LOVE the process.
Loving the process means you actually enjoy fighting through the failures and roadblocks because you know in the end it’s what separated you from every team sitting at home watching you play.
Negativity spreads, so does positivity.
Ego spreads, so does humility.
Doubt spreads, so does belief.
Fear spreads, so does hope.
Complacency spreads, so does commitment.
Leadership is contagious.
Own the way you show up. Own your impact.
Major life hack: Quiet progress. Learn to work without validation. No announcement. No hype. No applause. Build when nobody’s watching. Write when nobody’s reading. Train when nobody’s cheering. It doesn’t take talent. Just courage. Quiet progress creates loud results.
