🚀 Opening #IUCS26 | More than a meeting a growing global GU oncology community
One of the things that struck me most from the opening session was the clarity of the vision behind IUCS: to build a truly international, multidisciplinary community around better care for patients with GU cancers.
With the creation of IUCS CIC, that vision now has a formal non-profit structure focused on:
⚪ multidisciplinary care
⚪ translational and investigator-led research
⚪ evidence-based innovation
⚪ education and global collaboration
⚪ connecting science with everyday clinical practice
What makes this especially meaningful is the diversity of perspectives brought together across countries, specialties and healthcare systems — all around one shared goal:
better outcomes for our patients.
A great way to begin two days of science, discussion and collaboration in Guildford.
With leadership and contributions from @gbanna74@ravikanesvaran@PasRescigno@alison_tree@amg120395@ManiamAkash@neerajaiims@montypal@PGrivasMDPhD@ParamMariappan@DrYukselUrun@dmukherji@MicheleMaffezz@yekeduz_emre and the wider #IUCS26 faculty.

At #ESMOGI26, @CentralParkWMD discusses GLEAM results. Zolbetuximab plus gemcitabine and nab-paclitaxel did not improve survival in CLDN18.2-positive MPC, highlighting the need for better patient selection and combination strategies. Watch the video👉https://t.co/LLCob9g8Bp
At #ESMOGI26, @TaberneroJosep discusses that adagrasib plus cetuximab achieved higher response rates, including more CRs, in previously treated KRAS G12C-mutated mCRC, but did not significantly improve PFS or OS vs chemotherapy. Watch the interview👉https://t.co/KFhJ9y5GFe
At #ESMOGI26, Dr Michele Milella (@UniVerona) discusses targeted intratumoural phosphorus-32 microparticles plus FOLFIRINOX in uLAPC, showing encouraging local disease control and supporting further study of this combined approach. Watch the interview👉https://t.co/57ogiSpOnP
At #ESMOGI26, Dr Nilo Azad (@hopkinskimmel) discusses early phase 1 results of dual RAS inhibition with zoldonrasib plus daraxonrasib in heavily pretreated KRAS G12D-mutated metastatic pancreatic cancer, showing encouraging activity. Watch interview👉https://t.co/RJiXjh93Nf
At #EHA2026, Prof Martin Schrappe (@UKSH_KI_HL) discusses that blinatumomab improved 4-year EFS to 83% vs 70% with intensive chemotherapy in high-risk paediatric B-ALL, while reducing relapse and severe treatment-related toxicities. Watch the interview👉https://t.co/AKbiQPSjso
At #EHA2026, @MarekTrnenyDr discusses phase 2 CHEPA results showing brentuximab vedotin plus CHP and etoposide achieved a 91% ORR and 76% complete metabolic response rate in previously untreated CD30+ PTCL. Watch the interview👉https://t.co/meOz4d6YMg #Lymphoma#Haematology
At #EHA2026, Prof Umberto Vitolo (@fprc_candiolo) discusses phase 3 frontMIND results showing tafasitamab plus lenalidomide and R-CHOP reduced the risk of progression or death by 25% in previously untreated high-risk DLBCL. Watch interview👉https://t.co/VxIUlKppCn #Haematology
