My appeal to PM Modi-
In order to save petrol & diesel, please make it mandatory for bureaucrats, MLAs & MPs to use public buses and metro instead of large convoys.
It will also be a good opportunity for them to experience world-class infrastructure they are building for us.
#ShiruiLilyFestival2025 The Manipur DIPR media team was halted at the foothills after crossing Yaingangpokpi. Reports suggest that the team was instructed to remove the word "Manipur" from the label on the Manipur State Transport bus.
This incident occurred despite President’s Rule being in effect, raising serious questions about the chain of command and the current state of law and order.
A video from the scene shows security personnel present during the episode. Yaingangpokpi, the first indigenous village in the area, is currently reported to be under the control of Kuki groups.
On the route to Ukhrul, two additional villages—Shangkhai and Mongkot Chepu—are said to be in a similar situation.
This development prompts several pressing questions:
👉🏻Who gave the order to remove the name “Manipur” from the bus?
👉🏻Why was this done, and under what authority?
👉🏻Most importantly, what message or objective does this action intend to convey?
This is a blatant insult to all the law abiding citizens of the state who have been proudly promoting the state festival #ShiruiLilyFestival2025
Concerned authorities must immediately rectify this and provide reasonable answers as to why this sort of nonsense was allowed to happen. The president’s rule is becoming a joke at this point. Don’t act like jokers. No One is laughing.

In response to the demands from my people, I have filed a complaint against Uday S Reddy, also known as Kautiliya33 in X, who works at Birmingham University @unibirmingham as a Teacher of Computer Science with the West Midlands Police in Birmingham, UK. I am informing you that a copy of the complaint has been enclosed, which has led to an FIR being registered back home along with a Lookout Circular (LOC) warrant issued against the alleged criminal.
I thank my Manipuri Diaspora in the UK and France for extending all possible logistic support to accomplish this task far away from home.
Will keep providing updates on this case. Our unwavering aim is to ensure that truth prevails, contain and control criminals inciting violence and hatred in troubled region in NE India, thereby restoring peace and security in Manipur, India.

Armed Christian Kukis continue to loot and slaughter cows belonging to Hindu-majority Meitei farmers. This latest has happened at Khoirentak Village in Imphal Valley.
Such attacks serve the dual purpose of hurting Hindu sentiments and denying grazing to the cattle of farmers. Repeated attacks on cattles have occured since May 3rd.
42 cows belonging to Indira Pukhrambam were slaughtered during the first week of May in ChuraChandpur, taking away their livelihood.
Inspite of several examples of Kukis slaughtering cows and taunting Hindus, people wirh vested interests continue to secularise this conflict.

Hailstorms hit several parts of Manipur & other northeast states resulted in infrastructure damage.
The massive deforestation by Kuki poppy community is accountable for unusual climate changes in Northeast.
Urgently need to educate the Kuki community cultivating poppies in the hills of Manipur about the importance of preserving forests.
Calling on authorities to swiftly act against Kuki poppy cultivators for extensive deforestation to protect the northeastern states of India.

I actually stayed up late last night to watch @IndiaTodayNE roll out a live discussion with Oja Bimol @Bimol_Akoijam and Prof Kham Khan Suan Hausing. Some points that resonated with me.
Must laud Prof Suan for trying hard and maintaining cordiality, but his arguments are flawed on many levels. He appears to be just another stream of #Kuki thoughts and politics.
It is surprising that Suan thinks the violence did not begin in Churachandpur (based on his ground reports). He has no problem with illegal immigration, does not think there are abnormal growth in the villages, overlooks the question of Kuki militants having access to modern weapons, and rather cites asymmetrical threats to national security, quoting many armed groups of the state.
My question to Suan is: How can #Manipur be considered a democracy when, in reality, Kukis are demanding an exception to form a separate territory where they still get some kind of privilege?
It is rather disappointing that the outside world perceives the Kuki demand for separation as a pursuit of equality. This view is warped. The scale of the offensive from the Kuki militants signifies a shift into a new paradigm - renegotiating a new reality in a small state like Manipur and showing that they are now capable of indefinitely maintaining a violent equilibrium.
If resorting to a heavily militarised state with authoritarian powers is considered one of the answers to achieving equality and security, I’m not sure we’re learning the lessons of history. What’s more, we’re seeing the state really trying to stifle citizens from being able even to protest.
Next time, it would also be helpful if Suan could use less academic jargon.
Oja Bimol is so forthright. He says the state must rein in and calls for accountability. He rightly points out that everything is communalised in this conflict. He is even modest enough to admit that Meiteis need to reinvent themselves and shake off the 'colonial nostalgia.'
I strongly agree with his view that we need to distinguish between ethnicity and citizenship, something Kukis are not willing to do. Suan, in fact, thinks humanitarianism is the way to deal with illegal immigrants. This is laughable. Oja Bimol says a few thousand increases in population can create a massive shift in a state with a small population, for eg, come election time. Mizoram, which Suan cites as an example of benevolence, is clear about who is a citizen and who is not.
And yes, I agree that #Meiteis are demonised in this conflict and have been for decades. But importantly, Oja Bimol stresses the fact that there is a different way of looking at peace ahead by empowering people and so on, BUT it begins by breaking the communal paradigms that vested interests have been promoting.
My two cents.
#MANIPUR_VIOLENCE
It's barely two months away to complete a year of the unprecedented mayhem. It's crucial to courageously confront the reality...lots of disinformation have happened just as grievances have also been expressed amidst the bloodshed and unwillingness of the state to carry out its responsibility...
Along the way, we have lost parts of us and yet potential for new selfhood has also emerged...a capacity to listen and understand not only oneself but also the other is needed just as it's important to express oneself without calling names or rediculing others, to be assertive, and seek out mutual understanding and common ground to stand and pursue life...
Over the years, I have tried, and to a great extent successful, to learn with open-mindedness from many sources/people, including my own students...Self is indeed a process and it is always 'becoming'... it's been a conversation within and without...
This (link below) is one of those conversations....If you have time, please do listen to this and have your own conversation...to understand the tragedy that has befallen Manipur and find ways out of this mayhem...
