From the viewpoint of differential geometry, (ds^2 = dx^2 + dy^2) defines a flat space through its metric tensor (it's basically a definition of the distance). The Pythagorean theorem says that the Euclidean angular structure -- in particular, the fact that the interior angles of a triangle sum to pi -- requires a flat metric.

More generally, one can replace Playfair’s axiom, or the parallel postulate, with the Pythagorean theorem.

@SebAaltonen @LifeArtStudios yes actually i went through it. the point is that it was claimed that new KosmicKrisp driver will be significantly more performant(eventually) compared to the MoltenVK emulation layer. seems you haven't tried KosmicKrisp yet? it recently included in the new macos vulkansdk afaik
