Notice that I said, "Assume (C'AB") is a straight line". This is a manifestation of the fact that the sum of the interior angles of a triangle is pi.
From the viewpoint of differential geometry, (ds^2 = dx^2 + dy^2) defines a flat space through its metric tensor (it's basically a definition of the distance). The Pythagorean theorem says that the Euclidean angular structure -- in particular, the fact that the interior angles of a triangle sum to pi -- requires a flat metric.
More generally, one can replace Playfair’s axiom, or the parallel postulate, with the Pythagorean theorem.
@redtachyon you don't need the 'the most expensive frontier ai' to get the shit done. pay mistral, work with mistral (or any other european company). assume it'll be better soon. you pay, use, and give feedback and possibly your precious data to them, not to their competitors.
@redtachyon you first need europeans with frontier ambitions. mistral is doing fine at its capacity. if you want them to pursue more, then pay money to them. buy their products, not 'frontier's'. take part in it.
this is how things work: pay baby pay. words are worthless in this game.
@Nymne i wish you could've realized how frightening and dystopian you sound from here... it's not adaptation; it's engineering. designing systems to simulate emotional presence so that masses of people form attachments they didn't choose is manipulation at scale...
@SebAaltonen@LifeArtStudios my instinct is that it would still be slower for real-time rendering compared to the moltenvk as it is still new, but curiosity hits hard lol (i don't have apple machine right now, so it remains mystery to me)
@SebAaltonen@LifeArtStudios yes actually i went through it. the point is that it was claimed that new KosmicKrisp driver will be significantly more performant(eventually) compared to the MoltenVK emulation layer. seems you haven't tried KosmicKrisp yet? it recently included in the new macos vulkansdk afaik
@SebAaltonen@LifeArtStudios off topic: curious, if you have ever measured vulkan on macos with KosmicKrisp vs native metal (and perhaps vs MoltenVk but yeah). it would be really nice to see a serious product benchmarks.. any insight on this?
@ChShersh bro don't trust your autism or your skills at c++; he gonna put you in jail (but don't worry, when you released, we'll have c++23 implemented in full!)
@thelokasiffers@Laz4rz@Dorialexander@pleiasfr yeah, i know. they actually proposed 'nothing'. this is the definition of larping. i have respect to the founders, their business or ideals, but not this blog post. https://t.co/bBsCnuGpR4
@raminthies@Laz4rz yeah, i know. they are larpers because they are still asking Brussels, Paris and Berlin. that's the definition of euro larping. it doesn't matter what you do if you have to 'wait' for the 'politburo' act for you.

@mr_kurtz0@Laz4rz i found some money that covers my salary for well over a year plus office rent in exchange for a small percentage of the upcoming company. so i went to the 'risky unemployment' in a cheaper place to work on my stuff.
