The US-Israel-Iran war threatens to stall production and shipping, as many of these sites are under attack.
Iran's strategy is to keep the strait closed--or at least, maintain the higher cost of transit--and so keep oil prices high.
The purpose is to increase the economic and political cost to the US.
Trump can have his war, but it will mean $4 gasoline.
