When 60 Minutes is in trouble, we are all in trouble. When Pelley says CBS is meddling in his reporting for political reasons, believe it. https://t.co/lWpjdv1Unm
Asked today how he feels about negotiations with Iran collapsing, Trump said, "I couldn't care less."
You'd think the president of the United States would care about service members dying and millions paying more for gas because of his illegal and unconstitutional war.
Indiana is just one of a handful of states turning down federal summer meal funding for many families with school children.
This program could feed hundreds of thousands of families at little cost to the state, but Mike Braun said no & the Republican legislature let it happen.
BREAKING: we just won our Kennedy Center case!
Both the renaming & the closure of the Kennedy Center are enjoined
Kudos to our wonderful client @RepBeatty
& my colleagues @DDAction_ & Washington Litigation Group
This is a 1-2 punch against Trump's corruption
An appropriate birthday present on my uncle's birthday today. A federal judge ruled that President Trump and the Kennedy Center Board acted unlawfully in renaming the Kennedy Center. The judge held that only Congress can change the Center's name and blocked the planned two-year closure. I know they'll probably appeal and the story isn't over, but for today let’s celebrate a great birthday gift.
Reporter: Ken Paxton has taken to calling you ‘Talafreako’
@JamesTalarico: If Ken Paxton is worried about freaks, he should stop giving Epstein-style sweetheart deals to pedophiles. This is the guy who just released Adam Hoffman from jail, an admitted child rapist, after one of Ken Paxton’s wealthy lawyer friends got involved in the case.
Ken Paxton even kept him off the sex offender registry. Adam Hoffman was supposed to serve 25 years to life, but instead he served less than a month. As of this week, he’s now back on our streets because of Ken Paxton’s corruption.
Ken Paxton is the most corrupt politician in America, and it is costing Texans, it’s endangering our children, and it must end. The Epstein class has no place in Texas.
Trump raped E. Jean Carroll, still owes her $86 million, and is now using the power of the federal government to keep targeting and harassing her. Abusers don’t stop abusing.
I hate to admit this but Trump was right.
He said that if I vote for Kamala Harris gas prices, groceries prices and my utility bills will go through the roof.
I voted for Harris and my gas, groceries and utility bills have gone through the roof.
Ken Paxton has won the Republican nomination for US Senate in Texas and will face James Talarico in November.
Paxton was impeached by his own party for bribery and corruption, said the Uvalde school shooting was “God’s plan,” and offered a child rapist a 1-day jail sentence.
Within one 24 hour period, Trump:
- got out of a $100 million IRS fine
- secured "immunity" from all future tax investigations for his family and friends
- created a $1.8 billion slush fund for lawbreaking supporters
- was reported for likely insider trading worth nearly $1 billion
All of the obvious things to say about this are true. It's bad. Nobody even tries to defend it. The closest thing to a defense you get is something about how "but Democrats suck" and "woke was also bad," which is not a defense, but rather a kind of moral blank check made out to the administration to give them the right to do anything.
But what I'm most curious about is whether this sort of lurid corruption creates a countermovement that successfully returns government to rule of law or whether it's establishing a norm of executive imperialism that every future administration will use to achieve its ends, which can always be justified by the moral blank check of "the other side is worse, so let us do whatever we want."
JD Vance announced the suspension of $1.3 billion in Medicaid payments to California as part of his new role as "fraud czar" for the Trump Regime.
Meanwhile, Trump has pardoned multiple convicted fraudsters, including several who gave money to his campaign and Super PAC.
Remember this.
I asked Director Patel to pass on my thanks for FBI's work stopping a crook who scammed Medicare out of $205 million. He obliged.
Only problem? Trump pardoned that scammer.
So which is it? Should the FBI keep uncovering fraud, or should Trump keep pardoning these crooks?
