I don’t really want to see that, I’d prefer that they are responsible for infrastructure upgrades and that the bill is not spread around to all customers. There is a decent organized group that ran off a hyperscaler 2 years ago that wanted to setup a 2000 acre mega complex in the middle of a rural neighborhood. They ended up dropping the rezoning effort after much pushback from the citizens. The new one is much better located, inside an industrial area, and hasn’t gotten much pushback. My concerns are with the grid and my power supplier more than with the hyperscaler. I don’t believe they will ever complete their planned $100 billion investment.
