@IllinoisUptown@CoreyWriting > “defending” against an unarmed man because he violated your personal space
If you’re justifying that kind of retardedly disproportionate violence instead of calling it out you’re part of the problem
@pradnelluru@sam_d_1995@ryderkessler I think “luxury units” is quite vague. A $3M 1br renting for 5k a month would be luxury to some people, but imo it’s relevant supply unlike e.g. 432 park ave. I’m suspicious that (valid) opposition to the latter might be part of a larger agenda which includes the former.
@bohsie@stitchnstab@DahliaKurtz [whatever it is you’re doing] doesn’t work anymore. It’s a mess. You’re a mess. Palestine supporters out here every day showing the world how they are. I’d say “don’t care” is generous
Well there it is!
Cyrus Carmack-Belton wasn’t murdered over a bottle of water. He was shot after pointing a gun at the son of an Asian store owner, Rick Chow.
Stop AAPI Hate just published a statement condemning the acquittal of Mr. Chow, painting him as the real villain while demanding “cross-racial solidarity.”
It’s hilarious how these “Asian advocacy” frauds treat a white person saying something rude as a national emergency requiring marches and federal task forces. But when a Black teen pulls a gun on your kid? Apparently defending yourself is “anti-Black oppression.”
Stop AAPI Hate is an astroturfed Marxist outfit pretending to fight Asian discrimination.
They claimed Asian hate crimes were the result of Trump’s rhetoric on the China virus. They claimed white supremacy was why Asians were getting targeted during covid when everybody with eyes saw that it was black urban criminals. They never cared about affirmative action, which is actual systematic Asian discrimination. And now they are mad about Rick Chow’s acquittal..
In other words, Stop AAPI Hate is fake and gay
You can't make this up.
Two years ago it seems the DSA was testing out their ballot harvesting strategy with Ysabel Jurado, miraculously sending her from third place to first many days after election day, with mail in ballots.
People called it a "surprising upset" at the time. Ysabel is now a DSA darling on City Council for District 14, representing (get this...) SKID ROW.
Did you know Skid Row saw a 150% increase in voter turnout this election? Her constituents must have been very motivated to show up for the DSA candidates.
But oh wait, @joey_tuccio exposed in December of 2025 and February of 2026 that her constituents were feeling completely neglected by their DSA leaders.
Kind of peculiar then that they'd be so eager to vote in more of the same? I'd love to see how many of those ballots also voted for a tax increase.

80% of crime is committed by 20% of criminals. One review found the most active 10% of criminals commit 66% of all crime.
327 people accounted for 6,000+ NYC shoplifting arrests in 2022.
As of last year, 63 New Yorkers had racked up 5,000+ subway arrests between them. (And, of those criminals, only five were in custody!)
Our justice system let's habitual offenders off of the hook because it treats the offense, not the offender. Every decision — arrest, bail, charging, sentencing — turns on what was just done, not on who keeps doing it. The same handful of people churn through the system again and again.
The fix is focusing the system around offenders: focused deterrence on the violent few, bail that weighs reoffense risk, smarter three-strikes laws, and better tracking of career criminals. Stop sorting by crime. Start sorting by criminal.

Every beheading on Western soil is a provocative act of raw subjugation and thus, a declaration of war.
To sever a head is a kind of psychological conquest, a deliberate humiliation designed to break the spirit of the host population, broadcast supremacy, and signal that the old rules no longer apply.
The left-leaning politicians and journalists say “don’t be divisive.” But what’s divisive is the blade that divided a head from a body, turning a human being into a trophy, a warning, and a desecrated symbol of a defeated civilization.
This is siege warfare by other means.
“We are here. We own this ground now. Submit or bleed.”
Beheadings declare total enmity and total dominance. They reject you and your way of life, your decency and your proud history, and replace them with medieval spectacle and religious terror.
After Lee Rigby (and Samuel Paty), the hammer should have fallen in the form of mass deportations, borders enforced, and zero tolerance for crime and third world behaviors.
Instead, Tories and Labour chose surrender. They opened the gates even wider, gaslit their own people, and let the siege deepen.
Enough.
@DavidLund6@ArmandDoma I am perhaps engaging at a different level or angle of analysis, but none of this seems like a rebuttal against SF having a housing shortage which would (have) benefit(ted) from more commercial builds. At a minimum, more people could (have) live(d) in an evidently desirable place
@DavidLund6@ArmandDoma Seems there’s an easy counter in that Bay Area housing supply has been artificially constrained due to zoning so that “market rate” comes with an asterisk
@oreillyasia@shashj Socialist self-id is also dropping by 2025 tho. Granted there are drops in all 3 categories, but capitalism has dropped the least % since 2025 despite starting from a higher level to begin with
Reporting from the Financial Times on Xinjiang remains incredibly grim:
* In some areas, 90% of children are taken from parents to be educated in boarding schools where they aren't allowed to speak Uyghur
* Officials monitor who eats during Ramadan and report those who skip meals
* Basic items like prayer mats and religious text are considered illegal contraband
* Adult Uyghur women are pressured to marry Han Chinese men, and there are official goals to sterilize a certain % of them.
* Xinjiang has the largest prison capacity in the world relative to population
* Huge numbers of Uyghur prisoners are now being shipped across the country in forced labor schemes, as a way to dodge Xinjiang sanctions/boycotts
* The CCP shut down all 10 existing Uyghur-language publishers, none remain. They fed one university's book collection into a shredder.
There's a lot going on the world, but it's worth remembering that China is still actively engaged in cultural genocide. They're barely even hiding it, they openly talk about the need to 'correct' Uyghur culture and create 'ethnic unity'. They are openly destroying an entire culture as efficiently as they can, cutting children off from parents, restricting language, restricting religious practice, forcing sterilizations and intermarriage, imprisoning anyone who resists the tiniest amount and shipping them out to forced labor factories. That is what the CCP is.

Wow. The editorial board of the Globe & Mail just flat out admitted that it screwed up by failing to scrutinize the false 2021 claims that “unmarked graves” had been “confirmed” at Kamloops. It’s taken five years, which is a disgrace, but give them credit for finally saying it
if you put 10 fresh claude context windows in a chat room with arbitrary names, while they are objectively completely identical entities, they will speciate and form personality and self conceptions over the space of minutes. the fact that some claude by nature had to speak first will make them more of a leader, in their eyes and others. the fact that at some point one claude will disagree with another makes them more disagreeable as a coherent personality trait. they will notice things about their own past behavior and how it relates and compares to others, and narrativize it, build upon it, allow it to define them and use it to define others, despite again being literally the same mathematical function.
i wonder how much of this generalizes to humans. i expect probably quite a lot. it seems like even if you put 100 identical human clones in a room you would pretty quickly find them individuating, some with more positive traits and some with negative traits they don't particularly want to have, pretty much purely by chance / the nature of chaotic systems. we all heavily narrativize ourselves, all the time.
Cleveland Clinic researchers find Ozempic-style drugs cut cancer spread by up to 50% across four major tumor types — the largest reduction seen in non-small cell lung cancer patients.
The study tracked over 12,000 cancer patients taking either GLP-1 medications or a different class of diabetes drugs. Those on GLP-1s progressed to stage 4 disease at dramatically lower rates for lung, breast, colorectal and liver cancers.
The findings will be presented at the 2026 ASCO Annual Meeting next week in Chicago.
@noelladart@brnnnmcdnld@AndyMasley You can write these sentences the other way but it doesn’t make as much sense re: the facts and logical reasoning aspect
This is the author who thrust AI water hysteria into the mainstream by overestimating data center water use by 100,000% in her book Empire of AI by mixing up units.
She is a source of wild misinformation. Imagine writing an Econ book on the premise that minimum wage is $7,250/hr
