Tomorrow is the #InternationalDayoftheDisappeared and TASSC will be joining other human rights groups at the @PressClubDC to commemorate the forcibly “disappeared” and to support their families still waiting to hear what happened to their loved ones.
Itai Dzamara is a prominent #HRD & strong critic of the government of #Zimbabwe.
He went missing on 9 March 2017.
We call on Zimbabwe to conduct a credible investigation to ensure accountability.

Today is the #InternationalDayoftheDisappeared. We remember all who have been subjected to enforced disappearance in Zimbabwe and call on the government of Zimbabwe to investigate all cases and determine the fate and whereabouts of all who have been disappeared and are missing.
Forced disappearances in Pakistan originated during the military dictator General Pervez Musharraf (1999 to 2008). The practice continued during subsequent governments. The term missing persons is sometimes used as a euphemism.
Purpose is documenting and reporting enforced disappearances. Helping families deal with the situation.
We will be making manuals how to deal with the situation.
#InternationalDayoftheDisappeared is 30th august.

“As the name suggests, enforced disappearance is the act of making someone disappear against his or her will, often suddenly. It therefore refers to the arrest, detention or abduction of a person, followed by a refusal to acknowledge the fate of that person” https://t.co/uVbM8j20Oq
