i hooked my whoop to my work calendar to find which coworker gives me the most stress 🚨
thanks to fable, I reverse engineered whoop to pull per minute heart rate. nd matched spikes with cal events and attendees
I now have a leaderboard and I think about it daily.
few info masked for obvious reasons ;)
@ShitpostRock2 There’s a proverb “no snowflake in an avalanche ever feels responsible”. Just because you don’t see the immediate effect or your role in something, doesn’t mean you aren’t contributing. Always behave with the mindset that your choices have significance

after 3849 tries i even broke a gameboy trying to catch a shiny pokemon. but i was today years old when i found out you can turn any pokémon into a shiny in Pokémon Gold and Silver.
the game decides shininess based on hidden values (DVs). but there’s a glitch that lets you rewrite them entirely. not hunt shinies, create them.
it’s called the coin case glitch:
1. put the pokémon you want shiny in slot 1 of your party. keep a simple party (a low level pokémon in slot 3 helps stability).
2. (optional but recommended). have a Quagsire in your party. certain setups use its stats to stabilize the memory so the glitch doesn’t crash.
3. go to the pc and rename boxes exactly: !/gZ59 and !/hZ9l.
4. go to the pokémon center in Cherrygrove City.
5. stand still, then move 4 steps to the right.
6. open the pokédex and play the cry of Bellsprout. exit quickly.
7. immediately open your bag and use the coin case.
your first pokémon becomes shiny instantly.
the quagsire part isn’t random. its stats and memory layout help “anchor” the game’s data so when the coin case executes your box-name code, it points to the right place instead of crashing. without it, the glitch can still work just way less consistently.
it works on any type of pokemon including legendaries like mew and celebi. anything.
I am going to tell you a deep secret of the English language. When we want to tell the truth, we use Germanic-derived words. When we want to lie, we use Latin-derived words.
- Germanic (Old English) words → concrete, direct, sensory, testable
- Latinate/French words → abstract, bureaucratic, distancing, often euphemistic
Death / harm
Germanic (plain, testable):kill, die, hurt
Latinate (distancing, euphemistic):terminate, expire, neutralize, collateral damage
👉 “We killed civilians” vs “There was collateral damage”
Lying / deception
Germanic:lie, cheat, hide
Latinate:misrepresent, obfuscate, prevaricate
👉 “He lied” vs “He misrepresented the facts”
Money / exploitation
Germanic:take, steal, pay
Latinate:appropriate, extract, leverage, monetize
👉 “They’re taking your money” vs “They’re extracting value”
War / violence
Germanic:fight, bomb, burn
Latinate:engagement, kinetic action, force projection
👉 “We bombed them” vs “We conducted kinetic operations”
Bureaucracy / responsibility
Germanic:you broke it, you did it
Latinate:mistakes were made, systemic failure occurred
👉 Notice how the subject disappears.

If you see a public statement filled with Latin-sounding words, you are being fooled, tricked, manipulated, or lied to.
