@michellebhasin@ryanmfrank @NYPDShea @SBANYPD@NYCPBA Thank you....you could read his words both ways: toward the murder of George Floyd or the "riots" that happened last night.🤷🏾♀️
@GOODBYE_GOP @NewDay @SeaIslandBlue@Bakari_Sellers Breonna Taylor did none of the above. DEAD. Ahmaud Arbery did none of the above. DEAD. Atatiana Jefferson did none of the above. DEAD. Botham Jean did none of the above. DEAD. Being law-abiding and being compliant is no guarantee of Black safety from police. Period.
@writersheart789 @NewDay @Bakari_Sellers Yes. I've done the same with my 17 year old. I tell him that 9 times out of 10 a confrontation isn't worth it ....whether it's with an a-hole peer or an a-hole cop. It doesn't seem fair that our kids have to grow up surrounded by all these threats to just LIVE. JUST. LIVE..smh
@jacowi93@BlancheDevilhoe Um, no....that's not saying education is *required*, other than a high school diploma. Every sentence was followed by "or". And one of the biggest problems is that military service loophole. There is NO WAY a 20 year old should be a cop. NONE.
@aaronesims@FixingEducation Well, I actually observe the opposite. At most "minority schools" there's an over-abundance of rules, and *everything* is policed, from uniforms to hairstyles, to how you walk in the hallway. Also, your statement sounds like "Black/brown kids don't follow rules". See the problem?
