Shanker Foundation (Network of people living with HIV/AIDS in Darjeeling Hills) with #edwardfoundation has been reaching HIV Medicine(ART) for people living with HIV/AIDS since the lockdown of 2020.

Hari who’s a member of Shanker Foundation has been visiting different places in Darjeeling, Kalimpong, Kurseong and Mirik to deliver ART to people living with HIV at their doorstep. He has reached out to more than 100 families so far.

It’s been 14 days #projectcare has been tirelessly working on the ground to provide resources and immediate access to oxygen concentrators in hospitals, communities and to individuals across Darjeeling Hills.

We are reporting this from Glenarys restaurant our office at the moment where stress levels are high and yet the room is filled with good intentions, kindness and hope.

It was late on a Monday night at around 10:45 pm I received a call informing that a pregnant woman with Covid reached Darjeeling town from a remote village with her mother in law, she was experiencing labour pain and was helpless.
