How could it possibly cost £116 (including railcard discount!) to pop from Oxford to Taunton for a day @nationalrailenq? First job for you to get sorted, I think, @10DowningStreet?
Thanks @goteborgsuni for letting me present my book last week!
Summary: England & Sweden’s diplomatic & commercial relationship was the most pivotal of the 17th century
Feel free to try and prove me wrong but you’ll have to read it here first! 😁

@Prof_Murdoch @SSNEdatabase It was an honour to be asked, and I’m delighted to see my first bit of work reach the wider world! Will be having a dram tonight!
@CMaclean96@KristensenZenen@CMaclean96 Have spent a lot of time researching touch pieces in the past but never heard about the white ribbon. Very interesting! Do you know why they picked white and if any particular fabric was used?
@Prof_Murdoch The only thing I know of that is vaguely relevant is the Swedish leather gun/cannon. Used in the Swedish-Polish War by G II Adolf and discontinued in the 1630s. I’m sure I’ve read somewhere that it was designed and adapted by Swedish inventors though!
