Hey Twitter friends, I just graduated! I received my Bachelor’s in Biology from @wheaton. I feel so lucky to have gotten the opportunity to explore my passion for science and I am excited to continue to do so as I pursue my Master’s. #graduation2022#wheatonma#firstgen
@ScootJD@pp_systems I’ve gotta go back through some of the papers that I’ve read on leaf litter decomposition to direct you towards the methodologies as I can’t remember the exact papers right now. I am aiming to publish on this study in the next year or so and that will detail the methodologies!
@phenophase @fungi_lover @ESA_SW I’m always excited to talk about this research! Desert microbes are super cool, let me know if you have any questions!
Hey #ESA2023, if you’re interested in microbes, shrub encroachment, and drylands come check out my poster on Wednesday. I’ll be presenting on the Master’s research that I’ve been doing in @fungi_lover’s lab at NMSU and @TheJornada.
#DarkSkyWeek kicks off today. Night-migrating birds, like songbirds and shorebirds, can be disoriented by artificial light at night. Turning off or dimming lights can help them complete their migratory journeys safely. Learn how to be #BirdFriendly: https://t.co/XXsz4dUlgD
Now that I'm out west, I'm dying to know!
Any research/papers on the differences in soil microbial communities in eastern (deciduous) vs. western U.S. (coniferous) forests?
I know lots of folks have data out there. Anyone want to collaborate?
