The people suggesting this never have to pay for it, we already have one of the most valuable minimum wages in the Western world, and the data gaps and assumptions decisions are based on are off the scale.
@paddymacc1 No need to give the wrong impression, it dilutes your credibility. No doubts that the NGO sector needs culling but many vital public services-hospitals, disability support, housing, rehab, addiction, sports, aging supports, etc.—are delivered, by nonprofits and voluntary orgs.
@PearseDoherty It’s time to call this what it is: a national scandal. The Irish public liability regime is a racket—one that enriches a narrow professional class at the expense of everyone else. Real reform means slashing payouts to European norms, ending the litigation gravy train......
