@GreatWinter2017 @Northstar_CA @StormHour @NWSReno @Tahoe_NF The best way to confirm because the pics are grainy is the tracks. Grey Fox tracks will be 1.5” to 2.5” long, coyotes 2”-3.5” Long. Grey foxes can also retract their claws so they sometimes will have no claw marks, where coyotes always have claw marks.

@GreatWinter2017 @Northstar_CA @StormHour @NWSReno @Tahoe_NF That is a coyote, body is too large for a fox. Tail is dropped and black tipped without a black stripe. A grey fox is very small with a tail stripe and holds its tail straight out while walking or running.
