Civics @YouTube, like and subscribe | You can't hurt me, I used to read the replies to @TheDemocrats. Before that: @BarackObama, @TerryMcAulliffe, @EdMarkey. 💙
Banning under-16s from YouTube mostly means banning them from logging in, which means YouTube will treat them less like kids and more like anonymous adults. Great job, UK.
One year ago today, Minnesota Speaker Emerita Melissa Hortman and her husband Mark were senselessly murdered in an act of political violence.
In their memory, we recommit ourselves to the values that Melissa and Mark exemplified: building a kinder, more just, and loving world.
It’s funny, motocross at the White House is, like, fine with me. But here’s an example of something that is genuinely unforgivable but that a lot of people seem to have moved right past.
63 federal courts threw out all of Trump’s BS claims.
All of them. The Supreme Court rejected all of Trump’s BS claims. He now screams and cuts off interviews because he constantly lies about elections being rigged. He’s projecting again.
I know it’s become pretty cliche and cringey to talk about at this point but if you’re under like 25 I cannot stress enough how one time Obama wore a tan suit and people spent a week arguing over whether or not it was demeaning to the Oval Office and they were serious about it.
For the first time yesterday, I experienced the new @alamodrafthouse QR code ordering system and I can tell you it’s truly awful. Rather than making ordering food and drink more efficient, it actually adds steps to the process AND if you want to order additional items during the film you HAVE to open your phone. No, your cute reference to that irony in your How To Alamo video doesn’t negate how ridiculous this is. Please don’t cut corners with your staff and revert back to physical menus and order cards.
I love this investment (and payoff!) From the Warnock team on YouTube.
Investing in some best practices really pays off—Digital Directors, I don't tell you to try Thumbnail Test & Compare for my health!! 😉
At the beginning of the year, @SenatorWarnock's YouTube was averaging around 7K views per month. Today it’s averaging 1M. I talked to @charlie_2221, the Senator's Deputy Communications Director, about their growth playbook. A few insights below:
When people ask me how Democrats are doing on YouTube, I now always say "better than you think".
The growth we've seen (especially in the Senate) is in large part due to partners like Charlie and Parker, who simply make the decision to invest in the platform. ⤵️
3 months ago, Sen. Warnock’s YouTube account was mostly inactive. We just hadn’t been prioritizing it.
Then @ParkerKrex started with the team and brought the YouTube to life. He has made amazing progress in just a few months.
Here are three things we’ve learned:
Today’s “invest in organic YouTube” is yesterday’s “build an email list early” —> the candidates and campaigns who get it, get it.
Different goal, same principle.
Bravo, team @SenatorWarnock!

Ken Paxton is the most corrupt politician in America.
He embodies the broken system we’re running against.
