What they hate most about Rosie Duffield is her courage and indefatigability. They're trying to break her (again) today with one of their pack hunting pile ons. So, let's continue to show her some support

@StandingLocal Well presumably they’re just on the counter, serving customers. Any duties involving bra-fittings or women’s changing rooms would be entirely inappropriate.
@HJoyceGender Agreed! My brother is the primary care giver to his kids - he’s their father. Our 93 year old Dad struggled at first with the concept of his son doing “women’s work”. Is THAT how far back we’ve gone - to attitudes of those born in 1930?
@Jpppdk@DrJenIzaakson@jamesrbuk I didn’t ‘bring it in’, others did. As a mother myself I’m perfectly clear; only the female parent (regardless of gender identity) is the mother. The trans woman we saw on TV is the father, & I simply cannot comprehend why ITV would allow them to misrepresent themselves.
@leakylike Ok so an adopted child whose mother was a 13 year old rape victim who wants nothing to do with them - that child has no mother? Despite being raised by a woman who loved & nurtured them their whole life & is called “Mum”; that child has no mother?
@jamesrbuk It absolutely does none of these things. It simply states that male parents can’t be mothers. Because they can’t. They’re not mothers, they’re fathers. So when did that become something to be ashamed of?
@PalominoOMG @KatyMontgomerie Same!! But look - someone REALLY doesn’t like to have his views challenged, no matter how reasonably it’s done; and especially when the challenge comes from a real woman, of course. Misogyny at its finest 🙄🤣
@APowellLaw It is not “vile transphobic bigotry” to say a man cannot be a mother. It is an observation of reality and it also happens to accord with the view of the Supreme Court.
Calm down and stop being so ludicrous.
@OnjaliRauf Many of these I’ve never seen & they’re all just beautiful. My eldest (20) calls me Mum but tbh I miss the days he called me Mummy. My youngest (18) normally calls me nothing at all, but yesterday let slip his childhood “Mama” & my heart burst open (though I stayed calm 🤣) 🥰🥰
@natachakennedy Let me guess - somebody pointed out the truth to you about your sex, & you didn’t like it? That’s not transphobic, that’s just observable reality. You can call yourself whatever you like, but you can’t force others to play along, sorry.
A man performs women’s work in an @itvnews item about income precarity. Women object to him being called a mother. @The_TUC condemns those women, saying trans rights are workers rights. The man works with them on the systemic undervaluation of women’s work
#WhatIsMisogyny
@Sal_Robins@itvnews Oh look - dangly earrings! Yes of course I, a mother, ALWAYS wear those while doing housework; such fun wondering whether they’ll catch on something & lead to domestic accident 😉🤣 But this man is mothering so much better than me, obviously. #WomanFace
@GBNoobie@PAFenwick74@Mschatnoir@parislees This isn’t a Tories/Labour split this is society in general. I blame an explosion of populism & narcissism, whipped up by tabloids & social media. It’s exhausting for GenX like myself to see people so angry & self-obsessed & I worry for the future.
@kjartab You’re just a tedious man-child, attempting to mansplain womanhood to a middle-aged woman. Give it up dude, you’re just embarrassing yourself. Should I call your mum to come get you? I’m sure she & I would have a good laugh at your misguided naïveté 😉🤣
