Even if it is true that we need immigration to offset a shrinking workforce, the immigrants don’t need to come from dangerous Third World nations. That’s a choice globalist leaders made at the expense of our safety and prosperity.
This needs to be reposted a million times. Megan's counter is factual and necessary to defend the 10s of thousands of SBC pastors that faithfully shepherd and protect their flocks. Congregations that number in the millions.
Every day we wait, they suffer. Right now, there are kids praying for a rescue—for someone to step up, step in, and do something.
Are we actually going to protect these kids from further exploitation, or are we just going to keep talking about it?
Help fight child exploitation today.
When I tell you to resist the devil, I’m not telling you to resist your problem. I’m telling you NOT to act like the devil while you have a problem. #JoyceQuote
“Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it." - Matthew 7:13-14
#SundayScripture
I have a rare Sunday not preaching somewhere so we are attending our home church, The Church at Liberty Square in Cartersville Ga. Has it been a while since you and yours went to church? It’s Sunday. Go today and seek His grace.
BREAKING: Dozens of Christians were massacred in Ethiopia over the course of the last week by Islamists.
Tens of thousands of Christians have been slaughtered by Islamists across Africa, and the world doesn’t seem to care.
"If Jesus was God, why didn't He just say it?"
I used to ask that as a Muslim.
I thought I had Christians cornered. Then I actually read the Bible I was criticizing.
And I realized I wasn't looking for evidence. I was looking for a specific sentence.
But does God need your preferred wording to still be God?
Because God said: "Before Abraham was, I AM."
The Jews immediately picked up stones to kill Him. Why?
Because they knew exactly what He was claiming.
He wasn't just saying He existed before Abraham.
He was identifying Himself with the "I AM" of Exodus 3:14.
The divine name of Yahweh.
And here's what wrecked me:
The Quran calls Jesus the Messiah: The Word of God. A Spirit from God. Born of a virgin. Sinless and alive today. Returning to judge the world.
Yet I'm supposed to believe He's just another basic prophet?
No other prophet gets that description. Not Moses, David, Abraham or Muhammad.
Then you open the Bible and Jesus forgives sins, accepts worship, claims authority over heaven and earth, and rises from the dead. So no, Jesus never walked around saying, "I'm God, worship Me" in the exact sentence structure I demanded.
He did something far more powerful: He lived it, He proved it.
And honestly, after reading the Scriptures for myself, the problem wasn't that Jesus wasn't clear.
The problem was that I didn't want to hear Him.
I don't know why Galatians 3 is so hard to obey but this is simple. There is neither Jew nor Greek. There is neither black nor white. There is neither Korean nor Hispanic. We are all one body.
No one should be erecting artificial barriers or starting groups in the church segregated by skin color or ethnicity. Not the left-wing "affinity group" promoters and not the right wing "kin and kind" promoters.
We are ONE body. And I will worship alongside my brothers and sisters of every color and cultural background and I will oppose anyone who tries to suggest we should be separated.
I had a pastor tell me a few weeks ago that religion has no place in politics.
I replied, “I realize you may not respect me or agree with me. No problem. Do you respect Charles Spurgeon?”
He responded, “Oh yes. I quote him in my sermons all the time!”
I sent him this Spurgeon quote for his next sermon:
“I often hear it said, ‘Do not bring religion into politics.’ This is precisely where it ought to be brought, and set there in the face of all men as on a candlestick.”
Difficult people are all around. There will be someone who can steal your joy, offend you, leave you out, say something that’s not true. The key is to handle it the right way. Don’t take the bait.
