I am Iranian, born and raised in Tehran.

I studied at Iran’s top school, the one academics like to call the MIT of Iran. And still, in 2019, I had to leave. Not because I wanted to, but because the Islamic Republic made life unlivable and destroyed my homeland. If you weren’t connected to the regime, you had no future. I was lucky enough to escape. Millions were not.

I came to America to study because it is the greatest country in the world. For decades, the regime poisoned minds with propaganda, calling America “the Great Satan.” But the people of Iran know the truth. They shout it in the streets:

“Our enemy is right here at home. They lie when they say it’s America.”

I love America. And I love Iran.

I am not a U.S. citizen, but if America were under attack, I would stand and fight for it. Because America matters. A strong America means a safer world. When America leads, tyrants hesitate. When America retreats, evil advances.

Today, I am asking America to stand firm against terrorism and tyranny. To show the world, once again, that evil does not get a free pass. That mass murder, repression, and terror have consequences.

I am asking America to help end the nightmare that has taken over my homeland. Not out of hatred, but out of love. Love for Iran. Love for freedom. Love for a world where my people, and everyone in the region, stop paying for silence with their blood.

I felt tears well up when I saw this.

About 15 years ago, my twin brother and I were those children. We were picked up along Adeola Odeku, Victoria Island by uniformed men, taken to court on false charges, and sent to Oregun Boys Correctional Centre. Life there wasn’t reform, it was pure hell.

What saved us wasn’t enforcement or raids. It was intervention: education, shelter, patience, and people who saw potential where others saw only nuisance.

After we got out, @TheDestinyTrust took us in. They didn’t chase us away, they gave us a home, schooling, and belief in ourselves.

Today, my brother and I are undergraduates at the University of Lagos and University of Ibadan, and we’re both software engineers building a better future.

These children on the streets today can become the same, if given a chance.

Choose intervention over intimidation.
Choose education over detention.
Choose to solve the root problem, not punish the child.

Most People Have No Idea How Close We Came
Most people have absolutely no idea what was happening beneath the surface when President Trump was handed this country. They only remember headlines. They do not understand the trajectory we were already on.
When President Trump took office, the United States was in a spiral. It was a controlled demolition.
The U.S. dollar was actively losing its grip as the world’s reserve currency. The rise of BRICS was accelerating, with nations openly planning alternatives to dollar dominance. Manufacturing had been gutted and hollowed out for decades. Entire regions of America had been sacrificed on the altar of globalization. We were bleeding jobs, manufacturing, leverage, respect, and sovereignty. Our borders were being invaded daily…with no end in sight.
At the same time, the country was being quietly aligned with United Nations Agenda 2030 and the World Economic Forum vision of managed decline. Centralized control. Global governance. Reduced national independence. This was not a theory. It was policy direction. We were being walked into a controlled collapse by design.
President Trump did not inherit a stable system. He inherited a rigged one that was already breaking.
That is why the moves he made looked drastic to people who did not understand the moment. The tariffs were not reckless. They were necessary! They are bringing massive amounts of money back into the United States and forced long overdue trade realignments. Deals were renegotiated with China. Pressure was applied to the European Union. The era of America being the global piggy bank was challenged for the first time in generations. If these things did not happen, we would have been in a critical position and would have been like Venezuela ourselves!
Large scale investments are flowing back into the United States right now…not just from corporations, but from foreign governments that suddenly understand America is no longer asleep. Manufacturing is beginning to return. Supply chains are being rebuilt. The hemorrhaging is stopping.
This is not about optics. It is about stopping the bleeding.
Then came the internal reckoning. Wasteful spending that had become normalized for decades was finally confronted. The use of DOGE and the partnership with Elon Musk to expose inefficiencies was not a sideshow. It was a pressure release valve. Entire systems that existed only to funnel money into black holes are being challenged and exposed. And it is only the beginning!
USAID, in many cases, functioned as a laundering operation disguised as humanitarian aid. That reality is uncomfortable for people who prefer slogans over truth. But it is true. Billions were flowing with little accountability, often against America’s own interests, to NGOs and hostile organizations.
And now we are seeing the next necessary step. Securing our hemisphere. Reasserting boundaries. Reintroducing the Monroe Doctrine in a modern context. Not imperialism. Protection. Stability. Survival.
The critics do not understand this because they never understood the depth of the problem.
This country was not headed toward a mild recession. We were headed toward becoming Venezuela. Currency erosion.
Dependency. Global control. Internal collapse masked by endless spending. If President Trump had not intervened, that trajectory would have continued uninterrupted.
Uninformed people truly have no idea how close we came to economic destruction.
This was not politics. This was triage.
And whether people like his style or not, whether they agree with every decision or not, the truth remains. We were pulled back from the edge. The collapse was interrupted. The direction was reversed.
Everyone should be thanking God right now.
Because history will show that this was not about one man. It was about a moment where the trajectory of an entire nation changed.
And, we are not out of the woods yet. We need to continue to pray. This latest move was a gamble, but it was necessary. And there is a lot more that needs to be done to make this all turn around.
We need to pray that the Ukraine war comes to an end. Let’s also pray for what’s happening in Iran right now.
Let’s keep praying and believing that God is going to move in a mighty way. It’s time for us to wake up. It’s time for us to thank God. It’s time for us to pray for this great nation.

Four months ago, I received a call:
“Pastor, one of your boys has been arrested. He’s at the police cell.”

After asking around, I discovered it was LK, popularly called Amacula, a brilliant young man in his late twenties. He left home as a teenager and had survived on the streets ever since, doing whatever his hands found to do. One Sunday, he wandered into our church under the bridge and became part of our community.

God had begun a slow work in him, reshaping, tempering, softening a man hardened by life. Some biblical teachings confronted him deeply, and he struggled with them, yet he kept coming back to learn. “A bruised reed He will not break” (Isaiah 42:3).

One Sunday while I was teaching, I noticed he was distracted. When our eyes met, he gestured, asking to step out briefly. He said, “Pastor, e jo, mo’n bo…”. I told the person beside me, “He’s going to fight.” And he did—beat someone up—and then returned to church, sat down quietly, and said, “Pastor, e jo, e ma binu.”

I was torn. How does a man fight and then return to sit under the Word so calmly?

Yet that was him, still raw, still unrefined, but already being worked on by God.
He had a strong sense of justice. He defended the defenseless, fought for the oppressed, and stood firmly for what he believed was right, though his methods were still being redeemed. “The zeal of your house has consumed me” (Psalm 69:9), though not yet according to knowledge.

When I heard of his arrest, I went to see him. No one else could, many of the brethren had past issues with the police in that area. By the time I arrived, he had been moved from the station to court, then to another court. I finally found him moments before his trial.

He pleaded not guilty, and his journey into prison began.
For four months, he was there, no father, no mother, no relatives. Only the church.
We prayed. We visited. We stood by him. “Remember those who are in prison, as though in prison with them” (Hebrews 13:3).

And now, to the glory of God, he has been released.
Many of these men are hardened on the outside, but inwardly they are simply lost.

A simple message, “Jesus loves you”, can break even the toughest heart. “The Word of God is living and powerful” (Hebrews 4:12).

Go and tell everyone that Jesus saves. You may only be planting a seed, but God gives the increase (1 Corinthians 3:6).

Last year, the Lord did mighty works on the streets among souls battered by life.

This year, we go even harder for Jesus.

“The Son of Man came to seek and to save the lost” (Luke 19:10).

I once explained goals vs systems to my son using his room.

Every few weeks, his wardrobe and bookshelf were a mess. So he’d pull everything out and arrange it nicely. It looked great for a while.

A week later, chaos again. He hated the cycle.

Why?

Every time he took something out, he threw it back in carelessly. No structure. No consistency. So no matter how well things were arranged, the default state was always disorder.

I showed him my wardrobe.

It stays arranged for months. Not because I do big cleanups, but because every time I put something back, I put it back properly. So I never need to redo everything. The default state is order.

That’s the lesson.

Achieving a goal changes your life for a moment.
Systems change your life by default.

Most people think they have a results problem. They don’t.

When you fix things at the results level, you’re treating symptoms. Temporary relief.
When you fix the system, the outputs take care of themselves.

This applies to habits. To careers. To businesses. To life.

Don’t obsess over winning once.
Build systems that make winning the normal state.
