– The shooter had already gone inside with an AR-style rifle before this man ever moved

– He'd already fired into a Tesla's driver window in the parking lot

– This civilian got OUT of his own vehicle — into open gunfire — with a handgun against a rifle

– That is not an even fight. That is not a fair exchange. He did it anyway

– The return fire is what forced the gunman to take cover and retreat

– Retreat is the only reason the drive-thru line, the parking lot, and everyone still inside didn't become the next target

– Police confirm the shooter was found dead nearby shortly after

– Hundreds of people were on that property when this happened, per Chief Hicks

One employee is dead. Two more are dead. Up to seven are hurt. And every number on that list would be higher without those seconds in the drive-thru.
