Indeed, Ugandans are being exploited, and the government seems completely unbothered.
How does a company like M-KOPA give someone a phone with a market value of UGX 400,000, only for the customer to end up paying UGX 1.4 million through installment payments?
What kind of outrageous interest rate is this? At what point do we stop normalizing the exploitation of ordinary Ugandans under the guise of “financial inclusion”?
How much longer will citizens continue to be trapped in systems designed to profit from their desperation while those responsible look the other way?
Shock in Jinja as absentee Kisima health centre workers sign attendance register months in advance
During an impromptu visit at 2.30 pm, members of Jinja city’s security committee found only a security guard at the health centre. The guard informed them that the health workers had gone for lunch and were expected back within an hour.
However, despite waiting until 6:30 pm, none of the health workers returned, raising questions about whether they had reported for duty at all.
The committee was further alarmed to discover that attendance records had already been filled in for the entire month of June, yet attendance is supposed to be recorded daily.

This man must be found. As seen in the other video, he knocked Sydney down with his boda and abandoned it in the middle of the road just to get bricks and continue the attack. If the others have been arrested, @PoliceUg , we’re counting on you to find him too. Justice for Sydney. 💔🕊️

UGX 196 billion in the current budget is allocated for donations to top government officials. Meanwhile, the pay for medical interns amounts to UGX 28 billion, yet it is not included in the budget. This means that if the funds allocated for donations were redirected to medical interns, they would be enough to pay them seven times their current salary.
