I have also heard from women who never thought they had an "abortion," they had a miscarriage that required medical treatment. Now women are dying bc they're denied that care
Ten years ago, they wouldn't have been abortion voters. But they are now.

“This idea that somehow it’s the economy that men care about — I don’t think that’s true. I think it’s preserving the patriarchy, and I think women see that, and they want to burn it down.” https://t.co/j6BCknHeBj
New: From cutting children's disability benefits to allowing employers to pocket workers' tips, Trump tried to slash protections for the working poor in ways that have been forgotten by many. https://t.co/Nq2vlOE9Ta
Women have been collectively convinced that pregnancy is a health-neutral event and I am here to tell you that this is a tactic used to suppress freedom of informed choice.
Mike Johnson's asinine admission that he would repeal the CHIPS Act if Republicans and Trump win the election is a complete disaster for thousands of Michigan workers relying on the jobs that this legislation provides.
Make no mistake, a repeal of the CHIPS Act would kill thousands of good-paying manufacturing jobs right here in Michigan. The CHIPS Act was a huge win for Michigan workers, our manufacturers, and families’ pocketbooks, because it’s all about bringing a vital supply chain home, creating more good-paying jobs, and lowering costs. Republicans can’t stop attacking Michigan jobs and businesses, and we’ve got to vote them out.
BREAKING: I asked @SpeakerJohnson if he’ll try to repeal the CHIPS Act if Trump wins and they have control of Congress.
“I expect that we probably will.”
@RepWilliams responds: “I will remind him night and day how important the CHIPS Act is.” #NY22@CitrusTVNews 🚨
Under Trump unions went from winning 1,014 elections in 2016 to just 665 in 2020, nearly being cut in half.
Under Biden, we've gone from 665 to 1,289 in 2024, nearly DOUBLING in 4 years.
We're not going back.
I think what’s so uncanny about this ad is that it highlights the contradiction that feminism has not usually admitted to: that for all the second wave’s paradigm-changing gains in the public sphere, women still remain subject to male domination in the private one.
I've been reading @propublica's stories on the deaths of women from abortion bans with a mix of admiration for their reporting and grief for these avoidable losses.
But the story published today has a major oversight.
The hospital where this teenager died was Catholic.
For any eligible voter in Virginia who may be impacted by the purge, please use same-day registration to cast a vote in this election. Or call (866)-OUR-VOTE if you need assistance.
This is HUGE. If you've been improperly purged from the voter rolls for citizenship reasons, your county has to put you back on the rolls. Even if you don't find out you were purged until Election Day!! Here are the steps, as quoted in the (excellent) article below:
Heather Cox Richardson's column today discusses a pamphlet the US War Department (now, Dept of Defense) published in 1935 on the topic of fascism. Here is a sample. It sounds frighteningly familiar. It is Trumpist rhetoric, exactly.
