📌“The Red Letter” from the Coordinating Minister of Health and Social Welfare, @muhammadpate , is more than an announcement. It’s a call to every Nigerian to take ownership of our nation’s health.

📌Through this message, the Minister announces the release of ₦32.9 billion under the Basic Health Care Provision Fund @TheBHCPF already disbursed directly to primary health care facilities across Nigeria.

📌It’s a reminder that these funds belong to you and your community, to strengthen clinics, improve services, and save lives.

The Nigerian federal government has just released N33 billion to primary healthcare centres, state health insurance schemes and state emergency management committees.

This money will loss if you don't actively monitor it.

for PHCs - go to https://t.co/gsuOg5gYLd find your PHCs location. Go visit, ask them for reports on how they spend the money. Ask to join the council. Follow them up every week.

For state health insurance schemes. Download the wellahealth report here https://t.co/aFcqhc1WOF. Find details for your state. Go ask them how they're spending the money they're getting. Follow them up every week.

For Emergency care. Contact your state ministry of health and ask about the emergency committee, the ambulances theyr should buy, the call center they should set up. Ask for the emergency number you can call. Test it and see if it's working. Follow them up weekly.

If you and I do this today and follow up every day, our healthcare will be excellent in no time. If we don't, it's only a matter of time before Nigeria will happen to us and we will lament but it will be too late.

If your wife tells you she's pregnant congrats, here are your options in Nigeria.

- Get health insurance from an HMO, they have waiting periods for maternity so would be ideal to get it before you start knacking.

- Go and register for ante-natal and delivery in a hospital. Shop around for one that fits your pocket. Public hospitals are decent and affordable use them.

- Get health insurance from your state. Every state has a plan that covers maternity, over 10 million people are covered in these plans. They start at around N15k per year.

- If you can't afford the premium, go and appeal to your local representative to put you on the vulnerable register so you can get free health insurance from the government.

- If you can't get on the vulnerable register and you're broke, hustle and start doing daily savings or ajo so that you have money to register somewhere or afford a plan.

If you get power to knack give woman belle, you must get power to find way to plan for and afford a relatively safe delivery. If this sounds unfair then no knack. With great enjoyment comes great responsibility.

Tomorrow it could be you that gets hit on the street. Your survival should not only be dependent on the disposition of strangers. This is why governments exists to solve collective problems that are impossible to solve individually. Disturb government officials until they do their jobs.

LinkedIn is a really great platform. Could never understand the hate. Take time to understand it and invest in it and it will do wonders for your business and career.

Frst get your connections up with people in your industry. I have my LinkedIn on my email signature. I also always exchange LinkedIn details at events. I find it better for staying connected than WhatsApp in many instances.

Post regularly, about 3 to 5 times a week and comment on other people's posts at least daily. Put it on your calendar to do this. Talk about your day to day work and fascinating things you come across. Write an article, say once a quarter.

Do in-person things with others on LinkedIn. Take pictures and post about it. When attending events post it and invite people along. Post a picture and summary afterwards. Comment on topical things in your industry.

Do all this consistently for 6 months and your community will quickly emerge. This community will support you and cheer you on all through your career for as long as you continue to engage.
