🚩 Now I have two options:

1. Close your website / back to Google SERP --> Bad impact on your site.

2. Allow ads on your site, and I'm too lazy for that - I'll go with option 1#, and it's not just me. I just honest with you.

I just noindexed about ~4200 pages from a website that got hit by the September 2023 core update.

I tried to optimize content, improved the UX, and many more, but we have to do something dramatic—wish me luck.

These pages are useless in my opinion. Let's hope this is the bingo we're looking for.

Impact of Affiliate links/CTAs on Visibility

TEST: Removing CTAs (affiliate links) from articles/blog posts.

RESULT: 35% increase in 'impressions' and 16% increase in 'clicks'

Notes:
- We had 2-3 CTAs max on each article.
- The CTAs tagged in the past with rel=nofollow.

For those not updated, Google's August 2024 update is here...

There are many changes in search results, so I decided to check what happened to 18 affiliate gambling sites that experienced drops since the September 2023 and March 2024 updates to see if any of them managed to recover and to understand what they’re doing better than others.
So, as you can see from the screenshots, so far, no affiliate site in the gambling niche has recovered, from what I can see.

* I must note that it seems like all of them have made significant changes, whether in transparency, content changes, or quality, but apparently, it’s still not impressive. I'll keep updating every few days if I see any changes.

* Continuing from @glenngabe / @rustybrick reports about some recoveries, I decided to dive deep into this competitive niche.
