@drlaurenawright Have you found differences between young women and men? I find that among my college age kids friends, the conservative young men are far more willing to stand out and fight for their beliefs. From what my son tells me, the attendance mix on his liberal elite campus for conservative events is predominantly male. After hearing about his ridiculous indoctrination the first weeks of school a few years ago and his experimence over the last three years, we made a different choice for our daughter.
@Phil_Leininger@Alphaschool@Phil_Leininger we started Alpha last week for our 10 and 6 year old. I have two in college and another in highschool. Fun to see your post and agree with you as a parent who has seen a lot of public and private school models across my 5 kids!
@bennyjohnson this is short sighted. Should we have ignored the shift from steam to electrification? New technologies create risk. The last industrial revolution had issues that needed to be resolved. Weakening the economic position of the US because we are afraid of who is building data centers would be a terrible outcome. Let's focus on AI progress and on risk management.
@pmarca@pmarca I think this is an important conversation to have regarding how to protect and grow proprietary intelligence inside a company's four walls. Of course there are choices in the "how," but we need more of this conversation not less
@DavidSacks Spot on @DavidSacks, and I think the enterprise conversation on maintaining this boundary is just getting started. At Bain, I recently wrote about the importance of proprietary intelligence for enterprise here https://t.co/5NdN4adC12
@bcherny@bcherny In our client model, we are definitely seeing #1 and #2 -- where we have a high value problem that we are iterating on from a prototype standpoint and then shift to building. I like your provocation.

As a trusted voice with enterprise experience - why doesn't Anthropic invest to have stronger KYC as part of the solve instead of passing judgment on individual users and actively downgrading them? Curious to get your take
Artificial intelligences do not undergo experiences, do not possess a body, do not feel joy or pain, do not mature through relationships, and do not know from within what love, work, friendship or responsibility mean. Nor do they have a moral conscience, since they do not judge good and evil, grasp the ultimate meaning of situations, or bear responsibility for consequences. They may imitate or even simulate, but they do not understand what they produce, for they lack the affective, relational, and spiritual perspective through which human beings grow in wisdom. #MagnificaHumanitas
@NYMag@nymag this is shocking and unbelievably wrong. As an executive mother of 5 who has lots of conversations related to this topic, this line of propaganda is complete garbage. You should be ashamed
