People living with the symptoms of Huntington's disease often require a great deal of support with nutrition and hydration. We hope that colleagues across health & social care settings will get involved in helping to raise awareness of this difficult condition.
Eating disorders have the highest mortality rate of any mental illness - yet far too many people are unable to access the support they need.
We desperately need more funding for mental health & eating disorder services in the NHS.
No-one should have to crowdfund for treatment.

I sat and listened whilst a mum of 3 who has worked her entire life sobbed her heart out to me today. She has lost her job during Covid and has no idea how she’s going to feed her children. She might not feel she has a voice but I do. This is unacceptable in 2020...
The short, short bowel guide:
150-200cm DJF to jej ➡️ ONS
100-150cm DJF to jej ➡️ additional IV fluids
<100cm DJF to jej ➡️ parenteral nutrition
If colon intact and in continuity the lengths can be halved.
(there are always exceptions)
