“Let’s ban new oil and gas licences in the North Sea but spaff away £40billion buying North Sea oil and gas from Norway. Let’s buy coking coal shipments from Japan but ban UK coal mining. Let’s plaster thousands of acres of farmland with solar panels but spend £50million on sun dimming experiments. Let’s give Drax an estimated £1.8billlion in taxpayer funded subsidies on top of the £11billion it has already received despite Drax burning an amount of wood equivalent to 300 million trees. Let’s give £1.5 billion of taxpayers’ money this year alone to wind power companies not to generate power from their wind turbines. And let’s spend £30billion of taxpayers’ money on carbon capture machines but put pensioners, farmers and the disabled into financial peril by falsely claiming there’s a £22bn black hole.”
Removing the two-child cap will cost £3 billion, and some large families could get as much as £20k extra. Why should I be asked to pay more tax just so someone else can receive in benefits what I make in a year working?
That’s not fair - my latest 👇🏻

This resonates. Couldn’t understand stories about how people in this country die from cancer before they’re even given a diagnosis, until NHS nearly let that happen to my Dad. Truly terrifying how substandard the care is in certain places. Especially rural places like Cumbria 😞
My Dad is 81. He’s had chest pains for weeks.
Couldn’t get a GP appointment. So my Mum took him to A&E.
He sat there for 11 hours before being told he has serious kidney problems.
No prescription.
No advice.
Just a referral to a “specialist” who might see him next week.
After paying into the system for almost 65 years, this is how he’s treated.
The NHS is falling apart.
£200 billion a year… & you can’t even see a doctor when you’re in pain.
What does it actually take to be seen as an emergency now?

Lockdown scepticism is now mainstream - we have come an awfully long way.
I have no doubt whatsoever that if a more open and free debate was tolerated at the time, countless life years would have been saved.
Lockdown was the biggest Government policy error of my lifetime.
Prime Minister Kier Starmer’s senseless decision to let Zelensky attack Russia with UK missiles is a futile, costly escalation into unknown danger: all without Britain’s consent. This action indelibly stains Starmer & Labour as reckless militarists
Victoria Derbyshire: "What is your message to this government?"
Jeremy Clarkson: "Please back down."
Derbyshire: "And get the money from where?"
Clarkson: "See that building over there? If you don't understand what somebody's job is, fire them."
We need to get away from this weird attitude that the country's sole purpose is to serve the needs of the NHS.
It's a poorly performing health service, not a religion.
Instead of this fawning nonsense, we need a serious debate about how healthcare is delivered in our country.
*sighs*…. In the Lakes you can have a farm worth millions on paper, and earn less than the minimum wage. If you have to sell it to pay IHT, the farm will go into the hands of massive corporate types. This reduces food production, harms the environment and is simply unjust.
This is the Rishi Sunak I like to see. Totally slamming Labour for their lies and broken promises.
Labour are borrowing an extra £74billion and raising taxes by £40billion and stealing the winter fuel allowance off vulnerable pensioners.
The country has elected monsters.
Rachel Reeves had fucked all farmers, she has destroyed their ability to pass farms on to their children, and broken the future of all our great estates, it is an appalling decisions which shows the government has ZERO understanding of the what matters to rural voters.
In 2023 @Keir_Starmer looked farmers in the eye & said he knew what losing a farm meant.
Farmers believed him.
After today’s budget they don’t believe him any more.
#BackBritishFarming
Farmers. I know that you have been shafted today. But please don’t despair. Just look after yourselves for five short years and this shower will be gone.
I don't blame any woman for having been privately educated at an all-girls school. I don't blame any woman for having enough money never to rely on state-run services. I do blame them when they support the removal of single-sex spaces from women and girls without their privilege.
