Asylum decisions have quadrupled.

The asylum backlog is now down from its peak of 175,000 to 49,000 people awaiting a decision - the lowest level since 2019.

More decisions mean more asylum hotel closures and more illegal migrants removed or deported.

I get why billionaires and the super rich donate to political parties that look after their interests, or own newspapers and media to try to influence politics in their favour. What I struggle to understand is how easily they are able to persuade the gullible to take their side.
