The @stlprguild is fighting for ALL @stlpublicradio workers to have a voice at the station, @umsl, and the @umsystem — no matter the department.
That's why we're making history this week when we win our election to become #Missouri's first public media union. #WeMakeSTLPR
Being in a union is one of the best ways to get to know your coworkers! Glad that Richard, Tony, Kimberly and Meghan are representing us at the table today ❤️
We're back at the table again today, ready to bargain until we reach a deal! We're committed to securing a living wage for our colleagues and hammering out a contract that lets us do our best work. #WeMakeMarketplace
Don’t fall for it.
The pbs npr distraction he created... only profits him.
A better show of outrage is to find a local npr and pbs station you or your family benefit from & donate to them.
Assistant and associate producers are considered "junior" positions at @marketplace yet they're essential to getting shows on air, so much so that they often train people in more "senior" positions. Their wages should reflect the value they bring to the company. @mplaceunion
We heard powerful testimony from some of @Marketplace’s lowest-paid producers during our last bargaining session. They deserve a living wage under our new contract.

@EstherCinDC It took weeks before I started to feel the impact of meditation. Do it no matter what and even if it feels like you weren’t able to turn off your brain you will have made progress. You don’t notice the impact right away.

This morning @NPR aired a brief interview I did with @Marketplace where I discussed our research on misperceptions of the racial wealth gap. They highlight a documentary about the reparations effort in Evanston, which you should also check out!

And this isn’t the first time that people have lost some of their faith in democracy...
That leads us to the question: Can democracy actually succeed with so much inequality? We're talking about it in Chapter 1 of our free Econ 101 newsletter course: https://t.co/rHR7SFZwrK
@byadamrhodes If you want to weightlift, I recommend getting a personal trainer for 1-2 months to learn the basics, help you develop a plan you can progressively make harder. After the first two months try going at it on your own, & meet w/the trainer every 4-6 weeks for a checkup
