That said, I definitely agree with the cries that say big national pubs and legacy media could and should get out of the opinion-page-having-business. It's confusing for audience, adds to mistrust of media.
Shameful. Local news is where we need reliable, trustworthy endorsements to help the voters decide. To abdicate on that responsibility is a mistake, IMHO.
