@_jonathanrigby Absolutely, & I know you’re not disagreeing 👍. It was more of an add on - it’s great that Johnson and Andy Burnham want to encourage more cycling but they have to simultaneously start to address cultural attitudes to cyclist which seem to be weirdly unique to the UK.

I know there’s little to cheer at the moment but the sight of so many more people out cycling warms my heart. There’s obvs people out who haven’t ridden for ages: old Raleighs, shopping baskets, older couples in their normal clothes. Brilliant.

@kevdkev77 Yes! People seem to be making an effort to get out for a walk too - whereas they perhaps might not have bothered with that either in the past. Not living life at 100mph to cram everything in is a welcome change for us, in obviously unwelcome circumstances.
