I’ve had the most fun I’ve found in a while noodling over all the little details on my site. Wild how much pent up creativity was stuck behind minor technical limitations in things like app architecture and deployment. AI is a force multiplier for designers, not a death sentence
Designers can't control every model output, but we can design the conditions that shape generation. Over the last year I've constructed a framework for myself to make sense of how AI is changing our roles, what we work on, and what we can influence.

@johndilworth I've only been down once and I can't way to go back! Fun fact - I was living in an apartment in downtown Moab at the time and fractured my ankle on that trip. My friend Jeff offered to let me crash at his house for a bit (no stairs). Anyway, now we've been married for 14 years

@johndilworth Over many years I have! I have friends who did the full trip several years ago and it sounds incredible. Gates of Lodore is my favorite canyon. I hope you have a chance to get up there
@joshpuckett@jeremiahjw We experienced storms when I was in the mountains outside of Santa Cruz for a year but I guess I remember them more for the wind than the thunder. It didn't occur to me until just now that the only thunderstorm I can recall in all my visits to California was in Coloma
