“Only Peter Obi and his supporters are championing free and fair elections, PVC registration, and the collection of PVCs.
That tells you everything about the kind of person Peter Obi is.”
— Akin Osuntokun
From the videos we saw, this lady and her late husband were being held with some other kidnapped victims.
Since you engaged the terrorists and they ran away, where are the other victims?
@UNOFFICIALFACT Peope should simply stay where they are, don't tsnafer anything. Plan ahead towards it.
If it takes not traveling or. Returning early to ur voting place, that's it.
Well, I don't even think any of d position stand a chance, not even Obi.
I wish everyone all the best.
Kenneth Okonkwo, Valentine Ozoigbo, nobody have actually betrayed me, if it's betrayal they're betraying the country. My commitment is to Nigeria, I have no reason to be involved in what I'm doing today. Because it's putting my personal life into difficulties. My family are suffering for it. I do not need a penny of public money to survive.
Every week, I visit a school, a hospital and in each that I go, I have not spent less than 10 million. ~ Peter Obi.
The former Minister of Youth and Sports, Barr. Solomon Dalung, wrote:
People of the North, don’t be deceived. 😭
If it is true that Nigerian soldiers rescued the wife of General Rabe, are the other people who were held with her not human beings?
I am happy that she was said to have been rescued, but when I remember the other people who were with her, I feel unhappy in my heart.
If you remember, when the terrorists released a video, there were other people seen being held alongside her on the side.
So where are they now? Why has it not been said that they were also rescued?
Indications suggest that perhaps there was no actual rescue, but rather that the armed bandits released her themselves.
People should increase their prayers regarding the insecurity we are facing.
May Allah bring us peace and protect Nigeria and its people. Ameen.
I just got married to an amazing Igbo man and I hope when our children grow up, people like you won't exist anymore. Or would have changed their ways. You're disgusting.
It was great joining Njideka Akunyili Crosby — a gifted Nigerian-born, Los Angeles-based artist — to unveil our first portrait together. This piece reflects so many chapters of Michelle and my story, and we’re thrilled that it will be on display in the Hope and Change lobby at the Obama Presidential Center starting this Juneteenth.
BREAKING: Emeka Ike Sues INEC and Wike’s Aide Lere Olayinka for ₦10 Billion Over the alleged unauthorised release of his voter registration information.
Norway have qualified for their first World Cup since 1998, and the first thing they did was ship in their own cheese, fish and 6,000 oranges. A touching show of faith in the American food supply.
Start with the cheese, since they hauled 116 kilograms of it across the Atlantic. Dairy in the United States can come from cows injected with a growth hormone called rBST, which has been banned across Europe for years and does not even have to appear on the label over here. Norwegian cows never go near it, so the players would sooner bring their own.
The fish follows much the same logic. A good deal of American tuna is treated with carbon monoxide, sold to the trade under the lovely name "tasteless smoke," which fixes that bright red colour and keeps it looking fresh long after it has quietly stopped being so. Europe banned the practice in 2003, while America still permits it.
Then the oranges, all 6,000 of them, because the US happily lets growers spray the skins with Citrus Red 2, a dye the World Health Organisation's cancer agency calls a possible carcinogen, all so a slightly green orange can pass for a ripe one on the shelf. Europe will not let it anywhere near food.
So when a side with one shot at a World Cup takes a long look at the local cheese, fish and fruit and flies in a tonne of their own instead, you can understand how they got there.
A ringing endorsement of American food, obviously.
@thisleke@Momooinreallife Exactly! And I even see it as sign of deep respect to choose a name from another ethnicity. It means the person saw something good there and wish to have it. Names, especially for us Africans are not frivolously given.
@Momooinreallife Congratulations on your results! That's mind blowing! Keep shining forth. You're an inspiration...any young person in school will see it and believe it can be done. You have shown the path. Blessed are you.
Every few months I have to come out and ‘defend’ my name on the internet. Crazy that I never had to defend my result though.
Anyway, my dad is from Delta, and my mum is from Ogun state.
So I’m entitled to the name. It had nothing to do with my result though. 😏
Till next time.
Look at the day we found Chidera Ikeoha at Peace Park, Enugu, and see him today.
He was selling this book daily to support his family and his education.
We took him out of the public school he was in and enrolled him in a private school.
I remember him saying that, for the first time, he felt like going to school. Teachers care, they give assignments, students are serious, etc. He said the difference is like walking from Nigeria to America.
He is doing exceptionally well in class, and we are happy investing in his education.
We will follow through to ensure he graduates and succeeds.
A star is born!
As a Muslim, there's something that genuinely bothers me.
Millions of Muslims live in Christian majority countries, build mosques, preach Islam publicly, distribute Qur'ans, open halal businesses, and demand religious freedom, and rightly so.
Some even call for aspects of Shariah to be accommodated in the societies they've moved to.
Yet in some Muslim majority countries, Christians cannot openly preach the Gospel, build churches freely, or practice their faith without restrictions.
Why?
If we demand religious freedom for ourselves, we should be willing to grant it to others.
Truth does not need censorship.
If Islam is the truth, it has nothing to fear from a church, a Bible, or a Christian preacher.
You can't demand tolerance and freedom for Muslims abroad while denying the same freedoms to others at home.
The double standard needs to be called out.
